Whether helping us see more clearly or warming the planet or adding a little something special to the technology behind art, daylight brightens all our lives.

Cue the Daylight

Each of the following resources features daylight as a main element to the story, whether fiction or non-fiction. Have students pay particular attention to what daylight can do for us in the workplace, at home, and in art. Today, have students write an Ode to Daylight to welcome a little more of it over the summer by completing a shape poem. Use the strategy Make It Concrete (Canadian Version), from the SOS series, to guide students as they write.
