I'm back! Sorry to have been MIA for a while, but I was in the midst of prepping, holding, and then cleaning up from a very large workshop this past weekend with 18 people including the hostess. We had 5 projects all together, and I thought I'd show you this one first.

I was hesitant to use Blendabilities in my classes and workshops at first, as there is a learning curve, and they can be easily damaged if you aren't careful putting the caps back on. But with the great Sale-A-Bration special where you can get sets of these pens for free with purchase, I was able to obtain extra sets to enable me to have enough sets so that people didn't have to wait on a color they needed as well as hopefully having at least one good set after all was over. But I worried needlessly, as the ladies at the workshop listened carefully when I described the best way to cap the pens (lay them on the table, line up the cap and the marker and slide together) and not one marker tip was damaged!

This stamp was not on my initial order, but after I had seen cards made with it, it went on the order I placed just for this workshop. I thought it was the perfect stamp to introduce Blendabilities as there wasn't a large surface area to color, and besides, it's a beautiful stamp. I also decided to use the background stamp, Dictionary, as it matches perfectly! Lookie:

A little tip for blending out around the outside of the image is when your color lifter pen starts to get a bit dry, buy another and save the one that's a little dry. When you want to add a lighter tone, touch the brush tip of the marker you want to color with to the brush tip of the dry-ish color lifter, and it will suck some of the color into the tip, then you can add that color to the cardstock. This doesn't work with a full, juicy color lifter because it already has liquid in the tip and won't take any more.

The two rhinestones were colored with the darkest Cherry Cobbler Blendability marker.
