Senator JOHN McCAIN - Thank You Arizona!

CLICK HERE TO SEE SEN. McCAIN'S ACCEPTANCE SPEECH!

Thank you Arizona! Last night, Senator McCain won re-election to the United States Senate. Thank you to everyone that spent countless hours on our campaign. We are so grateful for all your efforts and support.

Check out the pics below.

Last night was an incredible night for our country and our great state of Arizona. I want to personally say thank you to every Arizona voter that came out to the polls. I'm truly humbled and honored to have the opportunity to continue to serve our state and nation in the U.S. Senate.

Campaigns require thousands of hours from hundreds of people and I would like to extend a special thank you to everyone that spent the countless hours helping on our campaign. I'm grateful for everything you have done.

While we enjoyed a tremendous victory last night, today we wake up and begin the hard work to take our country back. I am more optimistic today than ever before that we can stop the Obama agenda, stop big spending and earmarks in Washington and bring common sense solutions to our most difficult challenges.

Don’t lose your momentum! Stay engaged! Our fight is just beginning.

Cindy and I thank you again for your support and your friendship.

Sincerely,

John McCain

Special Thank You Message from Governor Brewer November 3, 2010

Thank You!

We did it! Thank you to everyone for your continued support and for your vote in this election. With your help, I defeated my opponent 55.0% to 41.8%! Click here to see the election results.

I want to say thank you to everyone who volunteered their time – attending events, handing out materials, wearing shirts, talking to neighbors, making calls, painting cars, putting up signs, and all the other little things that add up to so much. I could not have done it without so much support from so many friends and volunteers!

Congratulations to my friend John McCain, we have campaigned since September together and now we see the fruits of a united party. Congratulations to Ken Bennett, Tom Horne, Doug Ducey, John Huppenthal, Brenda Burns, Gary Pierce, and Joe Hart for completing the statewide sweep!

Wherever you are, however you voted, whether you are happy or sad, there is a cause you can join. It’s a just cause, worth living for; and as our heroes in the American military continue to prove every day, worth dying for.

Arizona will soon celebrate its 100th birthday. We are a young state, and really just getting started. There is much to be done. To every Arizonan tonight I extend this invitation:

  • Let’s go forward together from here, and surprise the world with what we can do.

Thank you, and may God bless every one of you.

We want to congratulate our newly elected Arizona Republican Congressman!

Congressman-Elect Ben Quayle - CD-3, Congressman-Elect David Schweikert - CD-5, & Congressman-Elect Dr. Paul Gosar - CD-1!

Two other races are close:  CD-8 with Jesse Kelly just behind by less than 2,500 votes with 15% of the precincts left to count, & CD-7 with Ruth McClung trailing by 3,500 votes .  Those races are not over, far from it!

GOSAR WINS

Dr. Paul Gosar Wins 52-42

PRESCOTT, AZ –With 293 of 392 precincts reporting, Dr. Paul Gosar has been declared victorious in Arizona’s First Congressional District. At a packed room at The Palace in Prescott, Dr. Gosar addressed his supporters and what this election means for Arizonans and the Nation.

Dr. Gosar’s Election Night Statement:

“I am so grateful for all of the support of my friends, family and volunteers. This election is about empowering the American people and bringing responsibility back to Washington- we can see from this evening’s results that Arizonans have spoken and decided to put Main Street America first. But the work isn’t done. Now we must come together and find commonsense solutions to the problems facing our nation, state and district. Gone are the days of special interests dictating what does or doesn’t get done. Pork is finished here in the first district. Instead, you and I are going to work together and accomplish things good for the district that put Main Street first.

“I am proud of the campaign we ran. We ran on the idea that America is the greatest country in the world and that our people, when given a voice, can ensure that our children and grandchildren will have the same opportunities you and I had growing up. America is truly a place that when you work hard, you can accomplish great things. Tonight opens up the doors for us to build a plan and then put that plan in place to restore America’s greatness. Let’s dig in to dig us, the US, out!”

AMERICAN HERO BEN QUAYLE- -Wins Big in Arizona

Posted by Jim Hoft on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, 12:35 AM

Hero Ben Quayle, who won big tonight in Arizona, released the most honest ad of the political season earlier this year. In the ad Quayle accuses Obama of being the worst president in US history. If you look at the facts, he’s right. Obama tripled the US deficit and nearly doubled unemployment in one year. The country lost jobs in 48 of 50 states since Obama blew a Trillion dollars on his failed stimulus plan. Obama’s toxic immature socialist agenda has been a complete failure.

And, Ben Quayle knows it.

Thank you very much for all your hard work and support throughout this campaign.

Together we will get our country back on track.

Ruth McClung: Every Ballot Must Be Counted
For Immediate Release
Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010.

"Until every last ballot has been counted, recorded and certified, I will not be conceding this election. Every voter has a right to have their voice heard, and in a race this close, I feel it would be unfair to my supporters and all the people who have worked so hard on this campaign if I did anything less than fight to the finish."

"We will wait to see what the final results are before any further determination can be made."

TOM HORNE WINS!

PHOENIX – The AP confirmed this morning that Tom Horne will be Arizona's next Attorney General.

PHOENIX (AP) - Republican Tom Horne defeated Democrat Felecia Rotellini to become Arizona's new attorney general.

Horne succeeds Attorney General Terry Goddard, the Democratic nominee for governor.

He won the race with 52 percent of the vote Tuesday, compared to Rotellini's 47 percent.

Click here to read the story in its entirety.

Republican Attorney General-elect Tom Horne says his victory demonstrates that Arizonans want an Attorney General who will defend Arizona.

"As of this coming January when I take office, I intend to defend S.B. 1070 all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court if necessary, join the other states in the lawsuit challenging the Constitutionality of ObamaCare, strictly enforce the laws so we are safe in our homes and communities, and create a legal environment that is conducive to business growth," Horne said.

He added, "I could not have done this without an amazing and dedicated group of volunteers who worked the phones, put up signs, raised money and gave of their time and talents to ensure this victory. I want to thank everyone who helped make this possible."

KARL ROVE WAS RIGHT!

Karl Rove said back on September 15, 2010 that Christine O'Donnell would NOT win the Delaware Senate Seat.  He was proven to be right.

Stomping Ground By William Warren

Today in the Washington Examiner November 3, 2010

Susan Ferrechio - GOP rides historic wave to take House

Call it a tsunami, a wave, a major thumping at the polls. The electorate on Tuesday showed its displeasure with a mostly Democratic Congress, voting out the party's incumbents in historic numbers and handing the Republicans control over the House of Representatives again just four years after they lost it. By late Tuesday night, Republicans had picked up enough seats across the country to declare themselves the new House majority and GOP leaders promised to heed the message voters seemed to be sending about their discontent with the current direction of the government.

Byron York - Nevada voters don't want Harry Reid, re-elect him anyway

It's long been common knowledge here that many, many Nevadans don't like their senior senator. What Tuesday's exit polls showed was that their feelings go well beyond simple dislike. And yet, if the exit polls are correct, a significant number of people voted to re-elect a man they think isn't doing a good job and who has stayed too long in the Senate. In the end, Reid won 50.2 percent of the vote to Republican challenger Sharron Angle's 44.6 percent. It would be hard to find a more telling measure of Angle's deficiencies as a candidate or the devastating effectiveness of Reid's scorched-earth negative campaign against her. Funded by millions of dollars from public-sector unions, Reid relentlessly attacked Angle from the moment she won the GOP nomination. Many of the earliest attacks went unanswered, forming impressions of Angle so negative that they outweighed the voters' negative opinion of Reid.

Michael Barone - Some random thoughts on the 2010 elections

As I write, the House results indicate that Republicans have gained a net 61 seats (64 gains minus 3 losses) and are leading in 6 races currently undecided and trailing closely in 6 other races currently undecided. So the Republican net gain will be something like 67 seats—more than any party has won in any single election since 1948 (my Examiner column actually looks at the big seat gains for the Republicans in 1946 and the Democrats in 1948). The upshot is that Speaker-to-be John Boehner will have a workable House majority, larger than the Republicans had during the 12 years they controlled the House from 1994 to 2006, larger than Republicans have enjoyed since the 80th Congress elected in 1946 which enacted laws which resulted in enduring public policies in 1947 and 1948.

So why didn’t Republicans do better in the Senate races? That’s a natural question, though as I write it appears that Republicans gained 6 Senate seats—in ND, AR, IN, WI, PA and IL—and may still prevail in CO and WA. In most years gaining 6 to 8 Senate seats would be a great victory; this year it seems somewhat less so, because more seemed possible.

One reason is that Republicans had less than optimal candidates in some significant races. Mainstream media will claim that this is because tea party wacko candidates weakened Republicans’ chances. There is something to that, though not as much as MSM would like to think.

David Sherfinski - Va. Democrats Perriello, Nye, Boucher fall in re-election bids

Freshman Democratic Reps. Tom Perriello and Glenn Nye -- as well as longtime incumbent Rep. Rick Boucher -- all lost re-election bids Tuesday, as Virginia played a major role in shifting the U.S. House from Democrat to Republican control. Perriello and Nye were widely considered to be among the most vulnerable House Democrats up for re-election Tuesday. But the defeat of Boucher, a 14-term congressman from southwest Virginia, by the state House Majority Leader Morgan Griffith represented a major coup for Virginia Republicans. For Perriello, whose race was among the most closely watched in the country, defeat was less of a surprise.

Californians buck GOP surge, stick with Democrats

Democrats proved resilient in California by taking the governor's seat, returning a liberal for a fourth U.S. Senate term and approving a constitutional amendment that should make it easier to pass a budget. While Republicans wrested control of the House and at least seven governorships from Democrats, Californians rejected first-time bids by two wealthy Republican businesswomen from Silicon Valley who sought to restrain government spending. In doing so, they stuck with the state's majority party in most statewide and legislative posts.

Environmentally conscious residents also rejected an effort to suspend the state's greenhouse gas emissions law despite suggestions it would kill jobs. Voters, however, said "no" to legalizing marijuana for recreational use despite the pitch that it would generate more tax revenues.
