Normally I write my wrap-up posts on Friday afternoon before I head out the door, but I had to cheat and write this one early. I prepped ahead of time because I’m currently on the road to Brimfield with Amy and both of our moms for what has to be the best Mother’s Day weekend ever. Antiques and brunch at the (very) newly opened Terrain in Connecticut? Sold. I finished a mix for the car ride last night, and I sure hope they all enjoy loud rock music as much as I do. I think it’s the only way to psych yourself up for crowds and pushy dealers.
Before I head out, I wanted to share some beautiful summery photographs by Marco Suarez. I love his work so much. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and I’ll see you on Monday! xo, grace

To me, nothing says May like ramps and asparagus. That’s why I jumped on the opportunity to present cook Anna Watson Carl’s simple, seasonal recipe for Linguine with Ramps, Asparagus and Baby Arugula. If you you’d like to try a different recipe with asparagus, try Parigote’s roasted asparagus or Kate Flaim’s absorption pasta with asparagus, pancetta and feta cheese, one of the most popular recipes featured on the column. — Kristina
