Most beautiful Czech stamp issued in 2010
Comme chaque année depuis 18 ans, la poste tchèque a interrogé le public pour désigner le plus beau timbre parmi les 46 vignettes émises en 2010 par la poste tchèque.
Un timbre à date spécial a été mis en circulation à cette occasion (je vous l'ai déjà montré dans un message précédent) ainsi qu'un souvenir spécial dont je reparlerai plus loin.
J'ai eu à nouveau la grande chance de recevoir ce souvenir spécial, ainsi que d'autres pièces intéressantes que je publierai dans les prochains jours, dans cette magnifique lettre recommandée envoyée directement par la poste tchèque de Prague le 11 avril 2011 :-)
As every year for 18 years, the Czech Post has asked the public to nominate the most beautiful stamp among the 46 stamps issued in 2010 by the Czech Post.
A special postmark was issued at this occasion (I've already shown it in a previous post) and also a special souvenir about which I will speak on this post.
I was again very lucky to receive this special souvenir, and other interesting pieces that I will publish in the coming days, in this beautiful registered letter sent directly by the Czech Post from Prague on April 11, 2011: - )
A noter l'oblitération spéciale (en circulation depuis le 1er mars 2011), également déjà évoquée dans un message précédent, consacré à la fabrication des timbres.
J'ai également déjà évoqué sur ce blog les différents timbres utilisés ci-dessus, et en particulier celui à 18 Kč (huppe fasciée), en haut à droite, faisant partie d'un magnifique bloc-feuillet de 4 timbres, émis le 1er septembre 2010, consacré à la réserve de la biosphère de la basse vallée de la Morava, située dans le sud-est du pays.
En 2003, l'UNESCO a en effet approuvé l'extension de la Réserve de la biosphère de Pálava au paysage culturel de Lednice-Valtice et aux forêts des plaines inondables à la confluence des rivières Morava et Dyje. Cette nouvelle aire protégée, couvrant plus de 300 km2, a ainsi été rebaptisée réserve de la biosphère de la basse vallée de la Morava, la 2ème plus grande zone de ce type en Europe.

I've also already spoken on this blog about the different stamps used above, and in particular the CZK 18 stamp (Hoopoe), top right, part of a beautiful souvenir sheet of four stamps, issued on September 1, 2010, devoted to the biosphere reserve of the lower valley of the Morava, located in south-eastern country.
In 2003, UNESCO has indeed approved the extension of the Pálava Biosphere Reserve to include the cultural landscape of Lednice-Valtice and floodplain forests at the confluence of the Morava and Dyje rivers. This new protected area, covering over 300 km2, has been renamed the Lower Morava Biosphere Reserve, the second largest area of its kind in Europe.
Ce sont des espèces animales et végétales caractéristiques de la biodiversité de cette réserve de la biosphère qui figurent sur les 4 timbres de cette série.
Le 7 avril 2011, la poste tchèque a donc dévoilé, dans les locaux du musée de la poste à Prague, le résultat de son enquête annuelle concernant le plus beau timbre émis en 2010 et a émis à cette occasion le souvenir philatélique numéroté (8995) ci-dessus !
Le timbre gagnant ne figure curieusement pas sur ce document qui reprend uniquement l'illustration qui figurait sur l'enveloppe FDC émis pour ce timbre (voir ci-dessous).
A noter également la présence de ce timbre à date spécial annonçant l'élection du plus beau timbre émis en 2010 (en circulation à Prague du 1er au 18 mars 2011).
Some characteristic animal and plant species of the biodiversity of this biosphere reserve are featured on the four stamps part of this series.
On April 7, 2011, the Czech Post has unveiled, in the Postal Museum of Prague, the results of its annual survey about the most beautiful stamp issued in 2010 and has issued on this occasion the numbered (8995) philatelic souvenir above !
The winning stamp does not curiously appear on this document including only the illustration that appeared on the FDC devoted to this stamp (see below).
To note also the presence of this special postmark announcing the election of the most beautiful stamp issued in 2010 (in circulation in Prague from March 1 to 18, 2011).
Voici donc, sur le FDC officiel ci-dessus, le timbre émis en 2010 ayant reçu le plus de voix (1572 sur 8377) !
Ce timbre, représentant un papillon machaon (Papilio machaon), un tichodrome échelette (Tichodroma muraria) et un oeil du Christ (Aster amellus), fait également partie du bloc-feuillet consacré à la réserve de la biosphère de la basse vallée de la Morava.
L'illustration gravée à gauche sur le FDC est consacrée à l'anémone sauvage (Anemone sylvestris) et à la réserve naturelle de Děvín.
Pour information, le timbre arrivé en 2ème position (1282 voix) est le timbre "Zodiaque" consacré à Alfons Mucha, également évoqué sur ce blog...
So here is, on the official FDC above, the stamp issued in 2010 that has received the most votes (1572 in 8377) !
This stamp, depicting a swallowtail butterfly (Papilio machaon), a wallcreeper (Tichodroma muraria) and an Aster amellus, is also part of the souvenir sheet devoted to the biosphere reserve of the Lower Morava.
The engraved illustration to the left on the FDC is dedicated to the Anemone sylvestris and to the nature reserve of Děvín.
For your information, the stamp arrived in 2nd place (1282 votes) is the "Zodiac" stamp devoted to Alfons Mucha, also mentioned on this blog...
