Last night Beyonce made her first public appearance since the birth of her daugheter, Blue Ivy Carter on Jan. 7. She was at the first of two benefit concerts Jay-Z was performing at. The event, which was held at New York’s Carnegie Hall, promotes the United Way of New York City and the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation. The 30-year-old singer looked stunning in a red dress by Temperley, embroidered Louboutin shoes, a gold Alexander McQueen clutch and bright blue nail polish. The much-anticipated bundle of joy also got a shout-out from Jay-Z, who performed an emotional rendition of “Glory,” the song he wrote upon his daughter’s arrival into the world (and which features a few seconds of the newborn crying). “One hand in the air for Blue,” he said as he kicked off the song. When Jay finished, he admitted, “I didn’t think I was gonna make it through that one — that was tough.” The couple later worked the room during the afterparty at Jay-Z’s 40/40 club. “She made a much bigger effort to say hello to nearly everyone, making rounds around the whole club before joining Jay-Z and guests in the VIP room,” a spy tells Us, which adds that Beyonce skipped the liquor in favor of sucking on lemon wedges instead.

*sniff sniff* Do I smell a reconciliation? Ben Harper and Laura Dern were seen having an intense conversation as they were taking a stroll through the mean streets of Beverly Hills yesterday. Back in 2010, Ben surprised his then wife and mother of his child with divorce papers, but whether or not the divorce became official was never announced. The pair did attend the Golden Globes together arm-in-arm last month, so hopefully these two are going to give their romance a second chance. Source
This Humphries/Kardashian divorce keeps taking sharp left and right turns. Now it’s reported that Kris Humphries’ lawyer wants their divorce trial to be aired for the world to see for reality television in an effort to “expose the M.O. of reality TV.” Lee Hutton, Kris’ lawyer, says that it will prove that Kim never really wanted to marry — nor had an intention on staying married — and this live broadcast will help his point. Kris has been struggling in his petition against the divorce hoping for the dissolution of marriage to be changed to annulment on the basis of fraud. Kris has a couple of problems with the fraud claim. First of all, he’s the one who proposed. Second, the publicity has made him famous and marketable and he’ll make millions more than he would have otherwise. And another big point in Kim’s favor … We’ve learned the prenup is extremely long and complicated … accounting for what would happen years into the future. Why would she go through the time and trouble of having a long prenup if she planned on pulling the plug on the marriage within a few months?

Sharon Stone obviously is taking wardrobe tips from someone 20 years her junior. Whatever made her think that super low rise, champagne-colored leather ankle pants paired with a cropped turtleneck is great on anyone, who knows. First off, if you’re gonna go monochromatic, it’s generally best to stick with black, not champagne. Second… super low rise leather pants on a 66 53-year-old? They also appear to be slightly cropped, making her legs look short and stumpy. While the low-rise is the biggest sticking point, it’s the combination with a cropped turtle neck that just sends the whole thing over the edge.
