oh, and happy, happy friday.

two of my favorites — the bold italic and artist lisa congdon have collaborated on the release of lisa’s San Francisco, I Love You Notecards. You can find lisa’s notecard set in the bold italic shop, and you can also purchases Lisa’s original painting there too! we all love san francisco, and we like to share the love! happy friday, y’all!

lemon zest.

there’s nothing quite like a nice bit of lemon zest to liven up a room. yellow is such a light, happy color, no? how can you be blue, when everything thing has a sunny, yellow disposition? yeah, i have no idea, either. just the tiniest little burst of yellow can put a whole new, upbeat spin on a room. see what i mean?

good reads: INTERIORS.

New York-based photographer Martyn Thompson is a respected and prolific image maker with work that ranges from glam rock to images of his own avant-garde garments. it turned out Thompson’s images attracted more attention than the clothes themselves, launching a brand new career as a documenter of beautiful interiors and architecture.

Martyn Thompson has a mastery of natural light and his images are moody and sometimes surreal. his new book, interiors contains a selection of the some of the artists’ and designers’ homes Martyn Thompson has photographed over the years. a stunning collection of the homes of the most well-known figures in the design world, including Calvin Klein; interior designer Thomas O’Brien; fashion designer Francisco Costa; hotelier Sean MacPherson; and fashion designer Anna Sui; so interiors is a sneak-peak into the spaces of the style-makers. It is packed with the kind of aspirational interiors book people will reference time and time again, collecting ideas and inspiration for their own homes.
