Wooly wire which is exactly as the name implies - felted wool on wire -  is a new material to have fun with.  This easy ring tutorial by Evie-S   reminds me of Wooly Wire! It is a great alternative if you can't or won't solder metal rings.


What Evie does is make a ring sized jump ring and covers the join with thread and a bit of glue.  A ring mandrel is useful to get the size right. Remember to work harden by hammering with a nylon hammer.

Another suggestion is to introduce beads in the design.
