Kumihimo with the (round) disc is very popular these days.  Less so with the square plate.  Here is an easy one featuring hearts using the square plate and 10 cords which results in a flat braid. The video tutorial is by the Spanish online store, Crystal Dreams.


Just a little warning in case you are puzzled - the demo is clearly by a woman but the voice over in English is by a man.  They show 2 ways to finish the bracelet, one of which is the conventional way with ribbon clamps, the other is just a simple tie.  I prefer this super self toggling tip/tutorial.



Using a kumihimo loom is sure easier than having to knot it macramewise!  Perfect loving gift for all types of occasions.
