this video tutorial by John Ayr shows us how easy it is to use metal snips to cut out the shapes needed for a simple form folded pair of earrings.
It's a little blurry to see from the screen capture - I do wish instructors would include clear final project pictures - but the earrings are really nifty.
The thick copper foil strips are folded and cut out. The edges are then hammered with a cross peen hammer to get a frilly look. The shapes can be twisted or left leaf shaped.
The instructor uses a center punch to make the holes for the jump rings. Some clean up with a file might be necessary if there are some burs. Alternatively use a hole puncher.
