Nunn Design's $60 Summer 2015 Collection Giveaway

I am a fan of Nunn Design jewelry making components.  They come in the 3 main colors we love - silver, copper and gold. The patinated and vintage look is irresistable. I know because I bought some directly from them! You can also buy their components from other retailers.

They do sell some retail kits but their wholesale section is very useful if you want to buy bulk - say a pack of 10 bezels rather than just 1. I have found their prices to be reasonable.  First time wholesale buyers are allowed to purchase less than a pack to enable them to try one of each design which is what I did.  The minimum order is usually $100 but on No Minimum Mondays, you can purchase any of their packs for less than the minimum amount. They announce those days through their newsletters.

One lucky winner of this giveaway will get their new Summer 2015 Collection.
This collection consists of :
  •  5 charms
  • Pair of earring posts with circle bezels
  • 6 open frames
  • 2 small brass stampings - acorn and heart
  • 2 faceted bead chain
  • 2 long flat tags
  • 2 Itsy bottle tops
  • 3 Itsy links
These new ones are mostly smaller components.  I received some of these for review as shown below.  The new faceted bead chain is a much better version of the ball chain in my opinion. The soldered part of the square frame wasn't quite perfect but then again, these are going to be used in handmade jewelry which isn't quite perfect either. There lies the charm.

They also sent me some jump rings and an extra linked chain.  I did like their textured jump rings. The ones I got were made from thick gauge wire so they didn't fit through regular lobster clasps.  So I made my own wire clasps for the designs shown below.

I made pendants out of the long tags from the Summer Collection.  The faux solder wire twisted jewelry tutorial with Swarovski marguerites will be out later this week.

I also used colored resin to make these components from the collection pop!  Adding some Swarovski montees also doesn't hurt!  The tutorial for how to color resin will also be out later this week.

Photography
I used my iPhone 5 with the camera+ app and the Modahaus TS320 tabletop studio.  To get the graduated slightly grey look , put the black sheet behind the white.  It works well especially for mixed metal designs.  Check out more about my How to Photograph Jewelry Webinar class.
