Robin Wade, a Californian metal smith is one of the most prolific artists I have ever seen. She is a talented artist who works and teaches many mediums. Her current focus is on jewelry designs. She has quite a range of designs
in her Etsy store which showcases her impressive creativity. I had a very hard time picking a representative range of her work. All are so distinctly different and original. My favorites (as a cat owner) are her quirky cat pendants! She has designs featuring different animals and nature.

Robin said,
"Most of my jewelry includes up cycled sterling silver, found objects, rocks, or other materials. I believe each piece should have a voice and represent the beauty of enduring, the strength of living, and the gift of possibility." She also adds delightful little stories and even the odd poem or two to go with her designs.
She uses different techniques to create her pieces including, soldering, making wax pieces and casting with recycled sterling silver. This shows her casting a few new pieces :
She also has many inspirational designs. Robin explained further,
"When I began creating jewelry I decided each piece should have its own voice. I found myself focusing on angels, fairies, and strong goddess like figures as they symbolize hope and strength." |
