Quilling is not the kind of craft you associate with jewelry. So it was not surprising to see some of you intrigued with
last week's book giveaway. Harriet Weinstein said,
"I've used quilling to create book covers. I never thought it could be using in jewelry making." Indeed it can be used to make wearable designs!
Aims was a bit skeptical at first. She said,
"When I first started reading I was thinking - oh yeah - quilling. As I scrolled down and looked at each piece I was bowled over by the incredible beauty and detail and I could envision wearing them and being incredibly proud - waiting for people to notice...know what I mean?" Ann Martin's designs are indeed stunning and inspirational!
But there are other advantages to quilled paper jewelry. M Brent Payne also said,
"So many people have metal sensitivities and or health issues where weight can make items unwearable." Paper jewelry might be the answer then!
So who won the giveaway? I numbered all the eligible entries and got the random number generator over on random.org to do the picking. The lucky winner is
VickiEsDesigns. Congratulations!
