Food Science Alum’s Generous Gift

4-H STEM Ambassadors Program

A transformative pre-college program that’s served more than 550 high-school students since 2009 connects these predominantly first-generation youths to STEM opportunities and to the university. Read more.

Community

Funding will help build physical resilience and develop the next generation of climate resilience experts by providing hands-on experience for Rutgers graduate and undergraduate students. Extension specialist in water resources, Christopher Obropta, will lead several shovel-ready green infrastructure projects. Read more.

Research

More than 1,200 trained volunteers support Rutgers Cooperative Extension in its mission to provide horticulture programs and information to the public. These Rutgers Master Gardeners provide science-based horticulture advice to residents through helplines established in 16 of the state’s 21 counties. Read more.

Rutgers University Marine Field Station (RUMFS) and the Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve (JC NERR) will host an Open House event on Saturday, September 21, from 10am-3pm! Meet Rutgers and JC NERR scientists and explore the exciting research in the Mullica River-Great Bay estuary & beyond.

Alumni Tent @ Rutgers Homecoming

Save-the-Date! On Saturday, October 19, SEBS will once again host an alumni tent at Rutgers Homecoming. Join us in Athlete's Glen near SHI Stadium prior to the football game vs. UCLA to reconnect with the school and fellow alumni over some great food and drink.
