An interdisciplinary food system science team from Rutgers worked closely for five years with Pohnpei State–part of the Pacific Island nation of the Federated States of Micronesia–to develop a landmark food security policy. Read more.

The annual turfgrass symposium focused on modern approaches to research in turfgrass and featured the keynote, “40 Years of Cool-Season Turfgrass Improvement and Goals for the Future–The Importance of Rutgers-Industry Cooperation.” Read more.

Hosted by the New Jersey Climate Change Resource Center at Rutgers, the day-long conference covered New Jersey’s state climate policies and climate goals, and the challenges and opportunities to accelerate addressing climate change in the state. Read more.

Despite rain forcing much of the festivities indoors, thousands gathered on the Cook/Douglas campus for free performances, plant sales, exhibits, food, and fun educational demonstrations, including a farm animal exhibition by veterinary science students and a dog show. Read more.

Microbiologist Gloria Dominguez-Bello, one of four Rutgers faculty to be named to the 2025 class of AAAS fellows, was recognized “for distinguished contributions to knowledge about the human microbiome and urbanization." Read more.
