SYRIA THREATENS WAR WITH ISRAEL:  Syria's top "businessman" (who made his fortune by smuggling weapons to Saddam Hussein's underground fighters) and close associate of Bashar Assad, Rami Makhlouf, has threatened that Syria will go to war with Israel if the US or Europe back the Syrian revolution. 

IN AN INTERVIEW WITH THE NEW YORK TIMES MAKHLOUF SAID, "If there is no stability here, there's no way there will be stability in Israel.  No way, and nobody can guarantee what will happen after, God forbid, anything happens to this (the Assad) regime."  He advised the US and Europe not to "put a lot of pressure on the president (Assad), don't push Syria to do anything it is not happy to do." 

He said Assaid is considering two strategic options, "Going to war against Israel and/or sending weapons shipments to the West Bank and to Israeli Arabs for use in terrorist attacks against Israel." 

He added later, “They should know when we suffer, we will not suffer alone.”

ALSO, Debka is reporting that Egypt's military rulers are allowing HAMAS to transfer its command center and weapons from Damascus to the GAZA STRIP. 

A quick geography refresher is probably due here so everyone fully understands the significance of this.  There are ONLY 3 WAYS INTO GAZA.  One is through Israel, one is by sea and the third is through the Sinai Peninsula which is controlled by EGYPT. 

Israel of course would not allow Hamas to traverse its territory to setup a terrorist command center within its borders.  And they couldn't get there by sea because Israel would enforce its blockade against them.

So there's really only ONE WAY for terrorists to get to Gaza, and that's with EGYPTIAN PERMISSION.

For thirty years Hosni Mubarak never allowed such an event.  However, as many of us predicted the new Egyptian rulers are allowing it. 

This is directly on Obama's hands because he was the one who forced Mubarak from office.  By toppling Mubarak, Obama knowingly paved the way for this.  The Gaza Strip is inside Israel.  This will put Hamas command and weapons much closer to Israel. 

Many of us predicted back in January that Obama was purposely orchestrating the ouster of Mubarak for the specific purpose of making life miserable and putting pressure on ISRAEL.  Now, those of us who were ridiculed for making such predictions - are being proven correct. Because that's exactly what is happening.

Terrorist admits plotting to bomb federal courthouse Jim Kouri

A homegrown terrorist, Michael C. Finton, aka “Talib Islam,” pleaded guilty yesterday to attempting to bomb the federal courthouse in Springfield, Ill., in September 2009 and was immediately sentenced to serve 28 years in prison, according to a report obtained by the National Association of Chiefs of Police's Terrorism Committee. 

At a hearing Monday in East St. Louis, Illinois, Finton, 31, a U.S. citizen and resident of Decatur, Ill., appeared before U.S. District Judge David R. Herndon and entered a plea of guilty to one count of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction (an explosive bomb) against property owned by the United States.    Judge Herndon sentenced Finton to 336 months in prison in accordance with the terms of his plea agreement with the government.

“Michael Finton is one of a number of young Americans over the past two years who, under the influence of a radical and violent ideology, have sought to carry out acts of terrorism in the United States,” said Acting Assistant Attorney General Robert Hinnen.  “Although a coordinated undercover law enforcement investigation thwarted Mr. Finton's plot to destroy the federal courthouse in Springfield, this case underscores the need to remain vigilant against the threat posed by homegrown extremism.” 

“The investigation of Michael Finton is a significant accomplishment in the FBI’s mission to protect the United States from terrorist attack.   The dedication and professionalism of the Springfield Joint Terrorism Task Force and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in this case have made America safer,” said FBI Acting Special Agent in Charge Louis Fernandez.

WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama is preparing a fresh outreach to the Muslim world in coming days, senior U.S. officials say, one that will ask those in the Middle East and beyond to reject Islamic militancy in the wake of Osama bin Laden's death and embrace a new era of relations with the U.S.

Mr. Obama is preparing to deliver that message in a wide-ranging speech, perhaps as early as next week, these officials say. The president intends to argue that bin Laden's death, paired with popular uprisings sweeping North Africa and the Middle East, signal that the time has come to an end when al Qaeda could claim to speak for Muslim aspirations.

Mr. Obama, who has made outreach to the Muslim world a cornerstone of his presidency, plans to describe the Islamic world as at a crossroads, said U.S. officials, making the case that bin Laden represented a failed approach of the past while populist movements brewing in the Middle East and North Africa represent the future.

Its another courtroom victory for the terror victims - this one against the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Holy Land Foundation (HLF). The District Court in Dallas has just handed down a historic court decision with truly far-reaching implications.  The Court in Texas has found that the terror victim's right to collect on their judgments against the terrorist groups, their front-charity organizations and the outlaw regimes overrides the government's right to confiscate the terrorists' assets. 

On September 4, 1997  three Hamas suicide bombers detonated themselves on the crowded Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall in downtown Jerusalem.  The terror attack left 5 dead and 181 wounded.  One of the murdered and many of those who had been seriously injured were U.S.citizens unlucky enough to be on Ben Yehuda Street when Hamas targeted this popular  tourist locale.  Along with American attorney David Strachman, we filed a lawsuit in 2002 against both the government of Iran and against Hamas in the federal court in Washington, DC.  Two years later, after Hamas refused to defend itself in the civil action, a judgment was entered on behalf of the families in the amount of $214.5 million. 

This same year, the DOJ filed an indictment against a Texas based Palestinian charity, the now infamous HLF. The U.S. alleged that the HLF was the financial arm of Hamas in America. In addition to charging its leaders with material support for terrorism and money laundering, all of the HLF's bank accounts were frozen by the DOJ. We discovered that the HLF had bank accounts in New York, New Jersey, South Carolina, Illinois, and Washington and immediately filed execution proceedings in all these places to satisfy, in part, the victim's judgment against Hamas.

Next the DOJ  filed a restraining order to block the victim's families from collecting the funds. They argued  that once the DOJ had filed its indictment against the Palestinian charity, the HLF's assets had been forfeited to the government under the Criminal Forfeiture Statute and the families were out of luck. 

Fortunately, we had already been had some dealings with different government agencies attempting to obstruct the terror victims from collecting against suspected terrorist assets. We had been spearheading a lobbying effort in Congress to ensure that once terror victims receive a judgment from a U.S. court, no government agency or elected official would be able to obstruct them from collecting against the terrorists' funds. In 2004,  the Congress passed the Terror Risk Insurance Act (TRIA) which provides, in part, that: �Notwithstanding any other provision of law, ... in every case in which a person has obtained a judgment against a terrorist party... the blocked assets of a terrorist party (including the blocked assets of any agency or instrumentality of that terrorist party) shall be subject to execution or attachment in aid of execution in order to satisfy such judgment . . ."  As such, we countered that the newly legislated TRIA trumps the Criminal Forfeiture Statute (as well as every other `provision of law') and the terror victim's rights overrides the DOJ's.

No one had ever challenged the DOJ's efforts under the Criminal Forfeiture Statute using TRIA  before and this case of first impression was brought before the Dallas District Court. Its been a long legal effort but last week the court declared, in a precedent decision, that we were correct and the Hamas victims and their families were entitled to the Islamic terror group's funds. The Court ruled that putting seized terrorist assets into the hands of the terror victims truly furthers the Congressional intent of the Criminal Forfeiture Statute and of TRIA. The Court clearly concluded that: "TRIA overrides any protection from execution the blocked HLF property might have due to criminal forfeiture law."

This interim court victory is not yet the end of the line on for the HLF's money.  The plaintiffs are still required to prove that the HLF was a Hamas front organization and its funds belonged to the Islamic terrorist group. Given that HLF's leaders  are all serving long sentences for providing material support to Hamas, this should not be too difficult to do.

Here's the thing: if he's "not tied to any terrorist groups and that there is no terrorism allegation involved," why deny bail? It must be hard to be so irrational.

A federal judge denied bail Tuesday to a Yemen native who tried to force his way into the cockpit of an American Airlines flight en route from Chicago O’Hare International Airport to San Francisco International Airport.

Shortly before the end of the Sunday night flight, Rageh Ahmed Mohammed Al-Murisi left his seat near the back of the plane and made his way to the first-class cabin, according to an affidavit filed by Paul A. Howard, a federal air marshal.

A flight attendant saw him trying to open the cockpit door and, thinking he had mistaken it for the restroom, tried to point Al-Murisi in the right direction. At that point, Howard said, Al-Murisi lowered his left shoulder and rammed the cockpit door.

In court on Tuesday, Assistant U.S. Atty. Elise Becker said Al-Murisi was shouting “Allahu Akbar” –- “God is great” in Arabic –- as he was wrestled to the ground. It was the same phrase, she said, that the assailants who hijacked Flight 93 on Sept. 11, 2001, shouted.

Al-Murisi, who has been charged with interfering with a flight crew, had no luggage, was traveling with various forms of identification, $47 and an Apple computer charger. Becker argued Tuesday that he was a threat to the community and a flight risk.

A federal law enforcement source said that Al-Murisi is not tied to any terrorist groups and that there is no terrorism allegation involved.

Sleeping jihadis awaken.

(CNN) -- The man accused of trying to force his way into the cockpit of a commercial airliner bound for San Francisco made his first court appearance Tuesday, during which federal prosecutors argued that the suspect is a risk to flee and should be denied bail.

Rageh Al-Murisi, 28, carries a Yemeni passport and -- aside from cousins with whom he had lived in Vallejo, California -- has no close ties in the United States, federal prosecutors said in arguing for him to be held until trial.

He is charged with interference with flight crew members and attendants in the incident, which occurred about 20 minutes before American Airlines Flight 1561, inbound from Chicago, was scheduled to land at San Francisco International Airport Sunday night.

During Tuesday's hearing before Magistrate Judge James Larson in U.S. District Court, federal prosecutors drew comparisons to high-profile terrorism cases, saying Al-Marisi was saying "Allahu Akbar" ("God is great") as he approached the cockpit door and tried to force it open, CNN affiliate KGO-TV reported.

However, a law enforcement official said Monday that police have seen nothing to indicate links to terrorism or that the incident was a possible "trial run" -- a mission to test security responses in preparation for an actual attack later.

According to the criminal complaint, the flight's purser said a man got up from his seat near the rear of the airplane, entered the first-class cabin and proceeded to the cockpit door, where he tried the door handle.

The purser, thinking the man was looking for the lavatory, informed him that it was to his left, according to the complaint, but he again tried to open the cockpit door.

After the purser again told him the restroom was to his left, the man "made eye contact with him, lowered his left shoulder and rammed the cockpit door," the complaint states. The purser got between the man and the door and called for help as he continued to push forward against the locked door. Several passengers responded and managed to restrain the man, though he repeatedly tried to break free and open the door.

Al-Murisi had flown from New York to Chicago on Sunday to catch the flight to San Francisco. According to prosecutors, when he boarded in New York, Al-Murisi had no baggage, and though he told investigators he was on his way to visit his cousins, they said they didn't know he was coming, KGO-TV reported.

Musari had drivers' permits to two New York addresses, a New York driver's license, a California ID and two post-dated checks -- one for $5,000 and another for $8,000 -- according to KGO-TV.

Also on Sunday, a Delta flight was diverted after a flight attendant found a suspicious note in a lavatory, a TSA official told CNN. The flight from Detroit to San Diego was diverted to Albuquerque, New Mexico, the FBI said, adding that it was informed of "a potential security threat" on the plane.

The GOP had better clean up its act on these issues. America has been blindsided by the betrayal of American law and the Constitution by members of our own party who have been seduced by the big money, the dirty money of Muslim Brotherhood-tied operatives like Grover Norquist. In spite of claims that he is a conservative Republican, David Ramadan, a candidate for the House of Delegates in Virginia, favors the radical Ground Zero mega-mosque in New York and has close ties with Libya’s Washington lobbying firm.

Members of the Virginia Anti-Shariah Task Force (VAST), Stop the Islamization of America (SIOA), Spirit USA and the Northern Virginia Tea Party and relatives of victims killed in the 9/11 attacks picketed his recent campaign kick-off in Leesburg.

Ramadan favors the mosque on some occasions but then complains about “hateful and false political attacks” when his original statement is quoted.

VAST checked with the Huffington Post and the New York Times.  Both organizations said they had not received any complaint from Mr. Ramadan about the accuracy of their stories.

But on the night of his candidacy announcement, Ramadan lashed out at VAST members who simply quoted these public statements on that issue, charging them with “hateful and false political attacks.”

In a flyer “The Facts About David Ramadan” (Paid for and Authorized by David Ramadan for House of Delegates) handed out at the Loudon County Republican Committee, it is a very different story.

“Claim: David Ramadan is a proponent of the mosque to be built on Ground Zero in New York City.

“FACT:  False. David Ramadan is not a proponent and has never advocated the building of the mosque in New York.”

So Ramadan says one thing to the Huffington Post and Islamist activists and the complete opposite when he is trying to get votes in Virginia.

“One woman here tonight lost her daughter in the 9/11 attack,” VAST Chairman James Lafferty said in remarks that night to the Loudon County Republican Committee.  “The families of people who died on 9/11 need no condescending lectures from Mr. Ramadan on the Constitution.  His talk pales when compared to their sacrifice.”

Bloomberg Businessweek (http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/06_43/b4006070.htm) published an account of the Libyan government’s attempt to “legitimize itself” after its downing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland.  Libya began shopping for a Washington lobbyist.

The Muslims want Cordoba back. You knew that was coming. Based on that, the Christians should get the Hagia Sophia back, the Jews should get the Dome of the Rock back, and the Hindus should get back the tens of thousands of temples that were destroyed and turned into mosques. And that's just for starters.

Their premise of co-existence is a slap in the face. There is no peaceful co-existence in Muslim countries under Islamic law. Ethnic cleansing and the suppression and persecution of non-Muslims is commanded in the sharia. But they will use our freedoms to kill our freedoms.

Cordoba -- first they take Ground Zero, what next? Restore the Caliphate of Cordoba?

A Few Brave Women Dare Take Wheel in Defiance of Saudi Law Against Driving Bloomberg (hat tip van)

Manal, a 32-year-old woman, is planning something she’s never done openly in her native Saudi Arabia: Get in her car and take to the streets, defying a ban on female drivers in the kingdom.

Manal and ten other people are organizing a campaign on Facebook and Twitter urging Saudi women with international driver’s licenses to join them starting June 17, risking their jobs and their freedom. The coordinated plan isn’t a protest, she said.

“I’m doing it because I’m frustrated, angry and mad,” Manal, who asked to be identified only by her first name, said in an interview from the eastern city of Dhahran. “It’s 2011 and we’re still discussing this insignificant right for women.”

It seems that we didn't grovel enough or prostrate ourselves sufficiently in the elaborate Islamic burial of Osama bin Laden, the Muslim leader who murdered thousands of Americans in an act of war.

The very idea that the US military was commanded to perform such an act of submission on the declared enemy of the United States is without equal. Soldiers performed "Loud Recitation of the Four Takbirs" (allahu akbar) four times over Bin Laden's "washed" body on the USS Carl Vinson (the same war cry screamed when our hijacked passenger jets hit the WTC, the Pentagon, and Shanksville).

A statement purporting to come from a son of Osama bin Laden denounced the al Qaeda leader's killing as "criminal" and said his burial at sea had humiliated the family, an online monitoring service said.

The statement, attributed to Omar bin Laden, bin Laden's fourth eldest son, said the al Qaeda chief's children reserved the right to take legal action in the United States and internationally to "determine the true fate of our vanished father", the SITE Intelligence Group said.

There was no independent confirmation of the authenticity of the letter, published on the website of Islamist ideologue Abu Walid al-Masri, although several specialists on militant propaganda said the text appeared genuine.

Omar bin Laden, who has been based in the Gulf in recent years, did not immediately respond to emailed and telephoned requests for comment.

The letter said, in part: "We hold the American President (Barack) Obama legally responsible to clarify the fate of our father, Osama bin Laden, for it is unacceptable, humanely and religiously, to dispose of a person with such importance and status among his people, by throwing his body into the sea in that way, which demeans and humiliates his family and his supporters and which challenges religious provisions and feelings of hundreds of millions of Muslims."...
