Fairfax County man has been charged with possessing a crude homemade bomb constructed out of fireworks.

Thirty-eight year-old Atal Bashar of Burke is a native of Afghanistan and a naturalized U.S. citizen. He made an initial appearance Monday in federal court in Alexandria.

According to an FBI affidavit, a cleaning service hired by a real estate agent found what appeared to be a bomb while cleaning Bashar's father's home in the Alexandria section of the county in March 2012.

According to the affidavit, Bashar admitted to investigators last week that he built the device for self-defense by placing fireworks in the duffel bag and surrounding it with shrapnel like nails and screws.

Bashar is being held pending a detention hearing scheduled for Wednesday.

Needless to say, this woman would be jailed or worse, honor murdered under the sharia. As a fierce female, the burka is deeply offensive to me. It is a misogynistic penalty for feminine beauty and womanhood. Covering a woman up  from head to toe so that animal urges in Muslim men won't be stoked to rape is savage.

Right on the cusp of the 12th anniversary of the Islamic attacks on America in 2001, a clothing manufacturer rolls out their slick street marketing campaign in my neighborhood; the hipster mecca that is Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

This morning I noticed a large number of these posters illegally pasted along the endless construction barricades in my area.  The ad slogan is clearly a play for the deadened sensibilities of weak-minded hipster drones who have no concept of what enforced gender oppression really is and what it actually involves.  "I'm not what I appear to be"?  To me, it's more than just the denim burka, the most oppressive of Islamic enforced uniforms, it's the model's expression.  Her eyes look like a suicide bomber about to explode.  

This cynical marketing campaign is especially sickening because I watched the World Trade Center burn and collapse just steps away from where this ad campaign is plastered.

What does Diesel have to say to child brides and women around the world who are maimed with acid, stoned in pits up to their shoulders, strangled shot, burned alive, hacked to pieces and subjected to life long slavery?  This is the real war on women and it's growing across the world day by day.

 

 

Islamic female genital mutilation, respect it, islamophobes!

Muslim Dentist in UK Offers to Perform Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) on 10-Year-old Sharia Unveiled, September 9, 2013 (thanks to Christian)

A dentist who offered to perform genital mutilation on two young girls in a sting by an undercover reporter has been struck off. Omar Sheikh Mohamed Addow, 56, is the first dentist to be struck off by the General Dental Council for the crime, which carries a maximum 14-year sentence in the UK. The council's Professional Conduct Committee found that Addow had also performed an inappropriate examination of the reporter's chest, abdomen and vagina at his surgery, which was illegal as he was not a doctor registered with the General Medical Council.

The pair then went to his flat. There, Addow alleges that he had sex with the journalist, a claim she denies.

When asked to perform FGM on the reporter's two nieces, aged 10 and 13, Addow was filmed on a hidden camera agreeing, and said that he could go to prison for performing the procedure, "but I will do it for you."

The Committee found: "Mr Addow's conduct fell far short of the standards expected of a registered dental practitioner when he performed an intimate examination upon the journalist in his dental surgery. He also acted in a manner that was totally unacceptable for a registered dentist when he talked with her about, and planned to perform, FGM on two children."

Campaigners, including model Waris Dirie, who had the operation performed on her, have accused authorities of not doing enough to combat the practice. Recently, it was revealed that 2,000 women had sought treatment in London hospitals in three years for injuries sustained by the operation.

Though it is illegal in the UK, there have been no prosecutions. In France, there have been 100 successful convictions of people either performing the operation or arranging for it to be performed.

Two doctors have been struck off for offering to perform FGM in the last 15 years after being exposed by reporters. Recently, director of public prosecutions Keir Starmer attended a meeting at which it was revealed that there had been 32 cases of FGM referred to the police by the children's charity the NSPCC.

Starmer said the police had a new intelligence-led strategy to combat the crime. "We are getting close to a prosecution. We are much closer now than we have ever been."

Russia knows that the only thing Obama is concerned with saving is face.

MOSCOW (AP) — Syria on Monday quickly welcomed a call from Russia, its close ally, to place Syrian chemical arsenals under international control, then destroy them to avert a U.S. strike, but did not offer a time frame or any other specifics.

The statement by Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem appeared to mark the first official acknowledgement by Damascus that it possesses chemical weapons and reflected what appeared to be an attempt by Syrian President Bashar Assad to avoid the U.S. military attack.

But it remained to be seen whether the statement represented a genuine goodwill gesture by Syria or simply an attempt to buy time.

"Syria welcomes the Russian proposal out of concern for the lives of the Syrian people, the security of our country and because it believes in the wisdom of the Russian leadership that seeks to avert American aggression against our people," al-Moallem said during a visit to Moscow, where he held talks with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov.

However, al-Moallem, would not give any further details in his brief statement and didn't take any questions from reporters.

Moallem's statement came a few hours after U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said Assad could resolve the crisis surrounding the alleged use of chemical weapons by his forces by surrendering control of "every single bit" of his arsenal to the international community by the end of the week.

Also Monday, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon urged Syria to immediately agree to transfer chemical weapons and chemical precursors to a safe place within the country for international destruction.

Ban said he will also propose to the Security Council that it unite and demand an immediate chemical weapons transfer should U.N. inspectors conclude that such weapons were used in an attack Aug. 21 in a suburb of Damascus.

Al-Moallem and Lavrov didn't make any immediate reference to Kerry's statement when they spoke to the media after their talks, but a few hours later Lavrov went before cameras to say that Moscow would urge Syria to quickly place its chemical weapons under international control and then dismantle it.

Lavrov, who held talks with al-Moallem in Moscow earlier in the day, said he expected a quick positive answer from Damascus.

"If the establishment of international control over chemical weapons in that country would allow avoiding strikes, we will immediately start working with Damascus," Lavrov said.

"We are calling on the Syrian leadership to not only agree on placing chemical weapons storage sites under international control, but also on its subsequent destruction and fully joining the treaty on prohibition of chemical weapons," he said.

The surprise series of statements from top U.S., Russian and Syrian diplomats followed media reports alleging that Russian President Vladimir Putin, who discussed Syria with President Barack Obama during the Group of 20 summit in St. Petersburg last week, had sought to negotiate a deal that would have Assad hand over control of chemical weapons.

Putin himself said Friday at a news conference marking the summit's end that he and Obama discussed some new ideas regarding a peaceful settlement of the crisis and instructed Kerry and Lavrov to work out details.

Speaking Monday, Lavrov denied that Russia was trying to sponsor any deal "behind the back of the Syrian people."

The Russian move comes as Obama, who has blamed Assad for killing hundreds of his own people in a chemical attack outside Damascus last month, is pressing for a limited military strike against the Syrian government. The Syrian regime has denied launching the attack, insisting along with Russia that the attack was launched by the rebels to drag the U.S. into the civil war.

Lavrov and al-Moallem said after their talks that U.N. chemical weapons experts should complete their probe and present their findings to the U.N. Security Council.

Al-Moallem said his government was ready to host the U.N. team, and insisted that Syria is ready to use all channels to persuade the Americans that it wasn't behind the attack. He added that Syria was ready for "full cooperation with Russia to remove any pretext for aggression."

Neither minister, however, offered any evidence to back their claim of rebel involvement in the chemical attack.

Lavrov said Russia will continue to promote a peaceful settlement and may try to convene a gathering of all Syrian opposition figures to join in negotiations. He added that a U.S. attack on Syria would deal a fatal blow to peace efforts.

Lavrov wouldn't say how Russia could respond to a possible U.S. attack on Syria, saying: "We wouldn't like to proceed from a negative scenario and would primarily take efforts to prevent a military intervention."

Putin said Moscow would keep providing assistance to Syria in case of U.S. attack, but he and other Russian officials have made clear that Russia has no intention of engaging in hostilities.

Susan Rice, who briefed the American people on the terrorist attack in Benghazi by falsely claiming on five Sunday news shows that it was the result of a spontaneous demonstration attributable to a YouTube video, will brief Congress on Syria on Wednesday, the one-year anniversary of Benghazi.

But soon after that spontaneous protest began outside of our consulate in Benghazi, we believe that it looks like extremist elements, individuals, joined in that– in that effort with heavy weapons of the sort that are, unfortunately, readily now available in Libya post-revolution. And that it spun from there into something much, much more violent.

MS. RICE: That what happened initially was that it was a spontaneous reaction to what had just transpired in Cairo as a consequence of the video. People gathered outside the embassy and then it grew very violent and those with extremist ties joined the fray and came with heavy weapons, which unfortunately are quite common in post-revolutionary Libya and that then spun out of control.

But we don’t see at this point signs this was a coordinated plan, premeditated attack. Obviously, we will wait for the results of the investigation and we don’t want to jump to conclusions before then. But I do think it’s important for the American people to know our best current assessment.

RICE:  But putting together the best information that we have available to us today our current assessment is that what happened in Benghazi was in fact initially a spontaneous reaction to what had just transpired hours before in Cairo, almost a copycat of– of the demonstrations against our facility in Cairo, which were prompted, of course, by the video.  What we think then transpired in Benghazi is that opportunistic extremist elements came to the consulate as this was unfolding.  They came with heavy weapons which unfortunately are readily available in post revolutionary Libya.  And it escalated into a much more violent episode.  Obviously, that’s– that’s our best judgment now.  We’ll await the results of the investigation.  And the president has been very clear–we’ll work with the Libyan authorities to bring those responsible to justice.

Reza Aslan is a Board member of the National Iranian American Council (NIAC), which has been established in court as a lobbying group for the Islamic Republic of Iran. Said Michael Rubin: "Jamal Abdi, NIAC’s policy director, now appears to push aside any pretense that NIAC is something other than Iran’s lobby. Speaking at the forthcoming 'Expose AIPAC' conference, Abdi is featured on the 'Training: Constituent Lobbying for Iran' panel. Oops." According to Charles C. Johnson in the Daily Caller: "Iranian state-run media have referred to the National Iranian-American Council (NIAC) since at least 2006 as 'Iran’s lobby' in the U.S." Iranian freedom activist Hassan Daioleslam "documented over a two-year period that NIAC is a front group lobbying on behalf of the Iranian regime." NIAC had to pay him nearly $200,000 in legal fees after they sued him for defamation over his accusation that they were a front group for the mullahs, and lost. Yet Aslan remains on their Board.

Also, Aslan has tried to pass off Iran's genocidally-minded outgoing President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as a liberal reformer and has called on the U.S. Government to negotiate with Ahmadinejad himself, as well as with the jihad terror group Hamas. Aslan has even praised the jihad terror group Hizballah as "the most dynamic political and social organization in Lebanon," as well as the anti-Semitic, misogynist, Islamic supremacist Muslim Brotherhood, which is dedicated in its own words, according to a captured internal document, to "eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within." Aslan wrote: "The Muslim Brotherhood will have a significant role to play in post-Mubarak Egypt. And that is good thing." Millions of Egyptians obviously disagree.

He has also applauded and called for fascist thuggery to deny the freedom of speech to those he hates.

Also, recalling Aslan's recent arrogant and inaccurate touting of his own credentials on Fox, in praise of his even more inaccurate new book, I came across this in the Jihad Watch archives yesterday while working on my own new book. It seems as if Aslan has a long-standing habit of arrogantly citing his credentials as if they themselves proved what he was saying to be correct:

Is there anything this intellectual and moral titan is not a scholar of? We know that Reza Aslan lies without any apparent pangs of conscience about the New Testament, people he hates, Israeli "atrocities" (that will go over big at Temple Judea), the extent of Islamic supremacism in U.S. mosques, and about Muhammad's career, and so there is no reason to assume that he will ever acknowledge that he is not the master of some subject or other.

What utter nonsense. Show me a soldier who is "under pressure" from a divorce or some such and opens  fire on his brothers. This elaborate jihad cover-up scheme is lethal.

How is the military advising soldiers to spot jihadists in their midst? The fact is if a soldier reports a devout Muslim soldier that may very well go jihad, he will be labeled a racist-islamophobic-anti-Muslim-bigot. What are the authorities doing about that?

Why, for example, was nothing done after Major Hasan gave this lecture in the "workplace?" Because the people who worried about Hasan going jihad were afraid of being called an islamophobe or a racist (another adoption of the Islamic supremacist narrative -- Islam is not a race. Nidal Hasan was not a black man).

We always talk about God and country, but here we're talking, we're really talking about God versus country," Nidal Hasan said.

Special agents at the Naval Criminal Investigative Service want you to consider this scenario:

A gunny in your unit is going through a divorce. He’s going to lose his kids, the alimony bill is coming and these stressors in his personal life are starting to spill over to work. It’s clear to you his anger is building up, he’s acting out of character, and he’s taking things out on his Marines. You think his anger could lead to violence. What do you do?

“Step up and report it,” said Kate Shields, a supervisory special agent for the National Security Directorate at NCIS. “It is your responsibility to help protect your workforce, protect your colleagues and protect your country. It’s easy to look the other way. It takes an incredible amount of courage and commitment to actually step up and tell somebody you’re concerned.”

Throughout this month, NCIS is conducting field briefings for Marines and sailors about what they can do to prevent workplace violence.

While NCIS doesn’t specifically track workplace violence, the Bureau of Justice Statistics estimates that about 1.7 million U.S. workers are victims of assault while on the job each year.

Agents hope Marines can do their part to steer their comrades off “the pathway from idea to action.”

“People are the first line of defense,” said Sarah Griffin, NCIS special agent with the Threat Management Unit. “If our people aren’t paying attention, it’s a lot harder to protect us.”

The hard part is convincing Marines that turning a blind eye is dangerous and reporting suspicious behavior does not make you a rat. In many cases, agents said, your actions may well prevent someone from committing a crime down the road. “Just because someone does the right thing and makes the report doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to jam up somebody’s career or get them in trouble,” Shields said.

How do you know if someone is a threat? NCIS highlights a number of behaviors, including: making threats, aggressive actions like bullying or stalking, uncontrollable temper, uncharacteristic isolation, fascination with weapons, stealing, substance abuse, frequent arguments and sudden changes in behavior.

If you know someone exhibiting some of these signs, what should you do? You can report this to your chain of command, seek counsel from a chaplain or medical officials, or communicate directly with law enforcement and security officials, agents said. If it’s too late, and you find yourself in an unsafe situation with a co-worker, NCIS offers this advice: Don’t argue with the person. Leave the area immediately and contact security. Try to contact authorities without the person noticing and, if necessary, signal to a co-worker you need help.

Further proof that Obama's Syrian military intervention will employ the US army to aid the global jihad and assist in the brutal resurrection of the global caliphate.

Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi is one of the most influential clerics in Sunni Islam. He currently serves as president of the European Council for Fatwa and Research (ECFW), and is a highly influential spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood. Qaradawi has twice (in 1976 and 2004) turned down opportunities to serve as the Brotherhood’s highest-ranking leader. His preference, he explains, is to avoid tying himself to "any movement which might constrain my actions, even if this is the Muslim Brotherhood under whose umbrella I grew and which I so defended." "Leading Sunni Scholar Qaradhawi in Favor of U.S. Strike on Syria: Muslims Cannot Do It, So Let the Oppressors Fight One Another" MEMRI, September 6, 2013 (thanks to Jihadwatch)

Following are excerpts from a Friday sermon delivered by leading Sunni scholar Sheik Yousuf Al-Qaradhawi, which aired on Qatar TV on September 6, 2013:

Sheik Yousuf Al-Qaradhawi: If only we could be the ones to retaliate against those people [the Syrian regime]. I wish there were an Islamic power capable of punishing these people. If only there was an Islamic power capable of drawing the line for the oppressors, and imposing upon them the punishment they deserve.

We do not have such power, however, so if they are punished by others, it is better than nothing. Allah pits the oppressors one against the other. The ancients used to say: "Oh Allah, keep the oppressors busy with one another, and let us emerge from among them intact." We do not pity those people when they are attacked by whoever strikes them, because they deserve to be attacked, just like they attacked the Muslims.

During the 2007 Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF) trial (which examined evidence of HLF's fundraising on behalf of Hamas), the U.S. government released a list of approximately 300 of HLF's "unindicted co-conspirators" and "joint venturers." Among HLF's unindicted co-conspirators were many individuals affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood and/or Hamas, including Qaradawi, Omar Ahmad, Abdurahman Alamoudi, Abdallah Azzam, Jamal Badawi, Mohammad Jaghlit, Mousa Abu Marzook, Abdel Aziz Rantisi, and Ahmed Yassin. Among the organizations named on the list were the Council on American-Islamic Relations, Hamas, INFOCOM, the Islamic Association for Palestine, the Islamic Society of North America, the Muslim Arab Youth Association, the United Association for Studies and Research, and the North American Islamic Trust.

In a January 2009 speech that aired on Al Jazeera, Qaradawi said:

"Throughout history, Allah has imposed upon the [Jews] people who would punish them for their corruption. The last punishment was carried out by Hitler. By means of all the things he did to them - even though they exaggerated this issue - he managed to put them in their place. This was divine punishment for them. Allah willing, the next time will be at the hands of the believers."

At a January 2009 "Gaza Victory Rally" in Qatar, Qaradawi declared:

"The only thing that I hope for is that as my life approaches its end, Allah will give me an opportunity to go to the land of Jihad and resistance, even if in a wheelchair. I will shoot Allah's enemies, the Jews, and they will throw a bomb at me, and thus, I will seal my life with martyrdom. Praise be to Allah.... [Allah] will not allow these people [Jews] to continue to spread corruption in the land. We wait for the revenge of Allah to descend upon them, and Allah willing, it will be by our own hands."

Qaradawi then besought the deity not to "spare a single one of them." "Oh Allah," he said, "count their numbers, and kill them, down to the very last one."

In a February 2010 interview with BBC Arabic, Qaradawi reaffirmed his support for suicide bombings:

"I supported martyrdom operations. This is a necessary thing, as I told them in London. Give the Palestinians tanks, airplanes, and missiles, and they won't carry out martyrdom operations. They are forced to turn themselves into human bombs, in order to defend their land, their honor, and their homeland."

On another occasion in 2010, Qaradawi made it clear that every Muslim had a duty to obey the commandments of the Prophet Muhammad, regardless of how brutal or barbaric they might be: "If you believe that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, then you must obey him—for he does not command except that which is good. So, even if he tells you to kill, you must."

In an October 2010 interview with Al-Jazeera, Qaradawi was asked whether Muslims should try to acquire atomic weapons "to terrorize their enemies." He replied that such an objective was permissible, saying he was "happy" that Pakistan already possessed such a weapon. According to Qaradawi, the procurement of such agents of mass destruction was in compliance with Koranic verses urging Muslims "to terrorize thereby the enemy of God and your enemy."

Also in late 2010, Qaradawi stated: "We must irrigate [the] tree of freedom with our blood. We must not leave the Palestinians alone." Every Muslim, he elaborated, "must play his part to help our brothers in Palestine until they obtain their right. Not one inch of the Land of Islam must remain in the grasp of infidels and occupiers."

Qaradawi has also been outspoken about such topics as apopstasy, rape, and homosexuality. For example:

• According to Qaradawi, Islam’s practice of executing apostates has served to ensure Islam’s survival since the 15th century: “If they had gotten rid of the apostasy punishment Islam wouldn’t exist today.”
• When asked if female rape victims should be punished under Islam, Qaradawi replied: “To be absolved from guilt, the raped woman must have shown some sort of good conduct.... Since Islam addresses women to maintain their modesty, as not to open the door for evil…. [F]or a rape victim to be absolved from guilt, she must not be the one that opens … her dignity for deflowering.”
• In 2004 Qaradawi wrote a fatwa that presented burning or stoning as acceptable penalties for those who practice homosexuality, adding: “While such punishments may seem cruel, they have been suggested to maintain the purity of the Islamic society and to keep it clean of perverted elements.” 

Due to his support for Palestinian terrorism, Qaradawi has been barred from entering the United States since 1999. In February 2008, the United Kingdom also denied his visa on grounds that "[t]he UK will not tolerate the presence of those who seek to justify any act of terrorist violence..

I wouldn't be surprised if Egypt tries President Obama in absentia. From the very beginning of his presidency, he worked tirelessly to undermine Mubarak and install the murderous Muslim Brotherhood.

Muhammad Badie, Supreme Guide of the Muslim Brotherhood, incited a series of bloody numerous acts of unspeakable violence. A pro-Muslim Brotherhood lynch mob waving Al Qaeda banners threw a terrified teenage boy off a 20ft ledge before beating him to death, and in Luxor, Muslim Brotherhood supporters attacked Christians, murdering four, injuring 32. Residents say that the attack began just minutes after  Badie gave a fiery speech to Morsi supporters camped out in Cairo’s Nasr City, which was broadcast live on television.

“The attack came minutes after Badie’s speech. They treated us like infidels. They were chanting ‘Allahu akbar’ (God is greatest) as they were shooting us,” said Ahmed Fattouh.

Egyptian prosecutors announced, Sunday, that they will charge Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohammed Badie with involvement in the deaths of seven people during Muslim Brotherhood demonstrations about two months ago. Badie is already charged with incitement to murder.

Fourteen other leaders of the movement will also be tried. No date has been set for the trial.

The Senate now plans to vote to authorize Barack Obama to use U.S. military force in Syria on Wednesday. That is, Sept. 11. Surely G-d is a comedian playing to an audience with no sense of humor. The perverse horror.

Someone pinch me. This is a nightmare. Are we so far gone that our elected officials would vote to authorize military action in support of al-Qaida on the 12th anniversary of the day that al-Qaida declared war on America and slaughtered 3,000 of our sisters and brothers? This is the poison fruit of the Obama administration’s Shariah policy of scrubbing all counter terror materials of jihad. How can we expect our elected officials to understand the enemy’s doctrine when there is a national prohibition on such discussion?

Russia says that it has compiled a 100-page report showing that the Obama-backed Syrian rebels, not Assad, launched the chemical weapons attack. According to McClatchy, “Russia said the report had been delivered to the United Nations in July and includes detailed scientific analysis of samples that Russian technicians collected at the site of the alleged attack, Khan al Asal.” And also, “the statement drew a pointed comparison between what it said was the scientific detail of the report and the far shorter intelligence summaries that the United States, Britain and France have released to justify their assertion that the Syrian government launched chemical weapons against Damascus suburbs on Aug. 21.”

Will they vet this document at the Senate hearings, or will the clueless McCain’s insistence be enough? It certainly is enough for talking heads like Bill O’Reilly, who nearly took the head off of anyone last week who dared to mention al-Qaida and/or the jihadist elements in the Syrian opposition. But how can the American people be expected to believe anything this administration tells us when they blatantly and flagrantly lied about Benghazi? They blamed the YouTube video when it was Muslim terrorists, and they knew it all along.

The disconnect from reality doesn’t end there. Back in May, jihadists were arrested on the Syria/Turkey border with sarin gas – the same poison used in the disputed chemical weapons attacks. Reuters reported, “Secretary of State John Kerry’s public assertions that moderate Syrian opposition groups are growing in influence appear to be at odds with estimates by U.S. and European intelligence sources and nongovernmental experts, who say Islamic extremists remain by far the fiercest and best-organized rebel elements.”

Putin went further and called Kerry a liar.

This is the same denial template that the Obama administration employed in Egypt. Remember? The narrative was that it was a freedom revolution and that the Muslim Brotherhood had little role in the revolution and stood to gain nothing from it, despite evidence that I published from the very first, as did my few, brave colleagues. America was misled by the Obama administration when it assured Americans that the Muslim Brotherhood would have no political role in the “new Egypt.”

I was right then, and I am right now.

This has been a long time in the making. Back in April 2007, I interviewed prominent Egyptian blogger Sandmonkey on Middle Eastern affairs. It was a critical time: Bush had lost the Congress to the Democrats in the November 2006 election, and Pelosi and company were instituting their own foreign policy changes.

Regrettably, Sandmonkey and I stopped talking in 2011 when I warned that the “freedom revolution” in Egypt was a Muslim Brotherhood coup. He said that the Arab Spring in Egypt “had nothing to do with the Muslim Brotherhood.” The left and the Islamic supremacists went after me with all they had for my correct assessment in January 2011. We know how that went.

But that’s not my point. In 2007, Sandmonkey told me: “Any kind of democratic reform in the country [Egypt] for the past 3 years has been rolled back specifically because there is no more pressure coming from Washington anymore.” Under Obama, it only got worse.

And regarding Nancy Pelosi’s 2007 visit to Syria, he said: “The day after Pelosi’s visits there were immediate arrests of Syrian activists. That was the fruit she yielded. ‘Oh the Americans came over and they said they have a different foreign policy and they’re more interested in placating Bashar’s ego.’ And he went out and got [arrested] everyone he wanted because he knew he had an ally in Washington that wouldn’t pressure him as much.” Back then, Pelosi was placating Assad’s ego. Now he’s Hitler, and we’re enabling the jihadists.

We know who the opposition is. But you can expect the Obama administration to act shocked, shocked I tell you, when vicious jihadists take control of Syria. Obama will say that he acted too late. “If I hadn’t had to go to Congress, all would have been well.” And his propaganda organizations (ABC, NBC, CNN, CBS) will advance that big lie, as they have faithfully done his bidding for six years.

Assad is not scared of Obama (why should he be?), and he is not backing down. Syria’s Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal Muqdad said last week that “the Syrian government will not change position even if there is World War III.”

With the Russians moving warships into the Mediterranean and the Chinese “observing” from their own warships as well, it looks as if it could shape up to be just that. And as Barack Obama told reporters that the first cell of Syrian “rebels” trained and armed by the CIA is already making its way to the battlefield, it could end up being a contest between the shirtless horseman and the helmeted bike rider.

This is exactly what I warned of back on Aug. 31. European readers expressed real fear concerning Syria and U.S. intervention. One wrote to me that Europeans “sense a possible ‘Archduke Ferdinand’ response igniting a world war too close to home. Since Barack Obama entered the scene, all hell has broken loose in every possible corner and nook and cranny. His failures are so epidemic, so unprecedented in modern history.”

Is Obama really going to go to war against the Russians aligned with al-Qaida and the Muslim Brotherhood? Reset button, indeed.

Very strange. Homaidan Al-Turki has been transfered to a federal prison. If you recall, I wrote about this Muslim enslaver back in March. He was trying to get a transfer to Saudi Arabia, where raping your maid and keeping her as a slave is sanctioned under Islamic law. But Colorado Department of Corrections chief Tom Clements said no. Clements was subsequently murdered execution style, and there is an ongoing investigation of Al-Turki's possible involvement in the execution. 

Homaidan Al-Turki was sentenced to 28 years in prison after being convicted by a Colorado jury for imprisoning his housekeeper and holding her as a sex slave (more here). During his trial, al-Turki argued that he was a victim of anti-Muslim bias. “We are Muslim. We are different. The state has criminalized these basic Muslim behaviors. Attacking traditional Muslim behaviors is a focal point of the prosecution,” al-Turki said during testimony. 

Dhimmi Colorado governer Hickenlooper was amenable to the outrageous Islamic supremacist request and came close to approving al-Turki's demand, save for the national uproar that arose when Hickenlooper's dhimmitude came to light. And Colorado Department of Corrections chief Tom Clements was adamantly against it. If al-Turki had been allowed to return to Saudi Arabia, he would have escaped punishment for his crimes.

“Slavery, including sexual slavery, is sanctioned in Islamic law,”explains Robert Spencer . “Thus… what Homaidan al-Turki is accused of doing is not criminal activity in Saudi Arabia.”

“Sending [al-Turki] back [to Saudi Arabia] would be tantamount to freeing him, and to implicitly accepting the legitimacy of Islamic law and its precedence over American law,” Spencer added.

An Atlas reader who was a guard in the Colorado prison knew al-Turki said:

I can also say that I knew Al-Turki, and while I did not know Ebel, I have known several members of the 2-11 Crew, including high ranking members, and including founding members. I worked in the Colorado DOC for almost 20 years as a line officer. I met Al-Turki and I can tell you from experience that his is a piece of crap. He has absolutely no remorse for what he did, and he has stated that repeatedly over the years. I can also tell you that he does have ties to known muslim terrorists. He was having terrorist literature and messages sent into the prison from his bookstore, both to himself and to other inmates. He was spreading radical islamic beliefs among the inmates. Eventually, items sent from his bookstore into the prison were banned. Inmates can no longer order materials from Al-Turki's bookstore. Is it possible that Clements was killed because he refused Al-Turki's request for a transfer to Saudi Arabia? Absolutely. (read the rest here)

Now they have moved him to a federal prison. Why?

DENVER (AP) — A Saudi man convicted of sexual assaulting his housekeeper and treating her as a virtual slave was moved from a Colorado state prison to a federal prison outside Denver with little explanation Friday.

Homaidan al-Turki had been held at the Limon Correctional Facility and was moved to the Federal Correction Institution Englewood, a minimum security prison.

State and federal prison officials confirmed the move but wouldn’t discuss specifics about why it was done. One of his lawyers, Henry Solano, said a federal prisons caseworker told his team that the state had requested it for unspecified security concerns and wants al-Turki to finish out his sentence at a federal prison.

Solano said the transfer was a total surprise. He said he had a routine meeting with al-Turki in Limon on Thursday and he didn’t say anything about being concerned for his safety.

Alison Morgan, a spokeswoman for the Colorado Department of Corrections, said the transfer was routine but said the department never discusses reasons for moves.

“We transfer inmates utilizing the federal interstate compact for offenders for the business needs of the department and the safe operations of our units,” she said.

Al-Turki’s request to serve out his sentence in Saudi Arabia was denied in March by then prisons’ chief Tom Clements. Clements was shot and killed the following week when he answered his front door. Publicity about whether al-Turki could possibly be involved in Clements’ death led to him being placed in solitary confinement three times over his objections.

Al-Turki sued over his treatment and alleged that state officials had leaked word that the possibility of Clements being killed in retaliation for the denial was “the main working theory” in the investigation.

A former prison inmate, Evan Ebel, is the only suspect named in Clements’ death but authorities haven’t released the motive for the killing yet.

It was unclear whether the Federal Correction Institution, where former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich is being held, was where al-Turki ultimately would be held or was just a stopover on the way to another federal prison.

Morgan said Colorado still retains jurisdiction over al-Turki’s incarceration.
