The unit chief supervises eight analysts, most of whom have advanced degrees in economics. The role also involves managing projects staffed by analysts in other units and helping guide health policy analysis for the division and the agency. The unit chief works closely with CBO’s Budget Analysis Division to expand CBO’s capacity to provide the Congress with information about legislation as it is being considered.
