The Office of General Counsel seeks a legal intern with a strong work ethic to support the Office in its duties and functions during the summer of 2024. The successful candidate will report directly to the General Counsel. Duties include conducting legislative research; drafting contracts; learning to review government contracts; with supervision, counseling clients on issues involving government ethics; and conducting other legal research to support CBO’s analytic activities.
Candidates must have completed their first two years of law school by May 31, 2024. CBO is not accepting recent graduates.
CBO’s Budget Analysis Division seeks an analyst for its Low-Income Health Programs and Prescription Drugs Cost Estimates Unit, which provides legislative cost estimates and multiyear projections for Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), health insurance and prescription drug coverage in the commercial market, and several health programs authorized under the Food and Drug and Public Health Acts. The analyst will focus mainly on policies pertaining to Medicaid and CHIP.
