CBO seeks an experienced attorney to fill the position of Assistant General Counsel, one of four attorney positions in the Office of the General Counsel. Working with CBO’s management and staff, the Assistant General Counsel will provide formal and informal advice in all areas of law affecting CBO’s operations, such as employment, procurement and contracting, appropriations, ethics, data access and use, and security. Candidates for this position must have graduated from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association and be a member in good standing of the bar in a state, a U.S. territory, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Candidates must have at least five years’ experience advising clients on appropriations and fiscal law issues and some experience with government contracts or data use agreements.
