Legal Intern

The Office of General Counsel seeks an intern with a strong work ethic to assist in a variety of legal support services during the summer of 2018. The successful candidate will report directly to the General Counsel. Duties include conducting legislative research, drafting contracts, supervised counseling of clients on issues involving government ethics, learning to review government contracts, and conducting other legal research to support CBO’s analytic activities. Additional responsibilities include drafting legal memorandums and briefs about the significance to CBO of various court decisions, assisting with statutory interpretation, and verifying legal citations in CBO draft reports.

Qualifications Candidates must be in their second year or third year of law school or have recently completed a juris doctorate degree.
