Health, Retirement, and Long-Term Analysis Division is seeking an analyst for its Long-Term Analysis Unit (LTAU) to cover immigration issues. The analyst will improve the agency’s projections of immigration and other demographics and assist with estimates of legislative proposals related to immigration policy. The analyst may also assist in the development and use of CBO’s long-term microsimulation model. LTAU carries out CBO’s long-term modeling initiatives, providing the Congress with 30-year projections of the federal budget under current law, and performs analyses of long-term trends and policy options related to retirement, disability, and health care. Analysts in LTAU work closely with analysts in CBO’s other divisions—including the Macroeconomic Analysis, Tax Analysis, and Budget Analysis Divisions—and make important contributions to CBO’s work, including its Long-Term Budget Outlook.
