CBO’s Office of Financial Management, which consists of four staff members, seeks an intern with a strong work ethic for the summer of 2019. The successful candidate will work directly with the senior accountant and report to the agency’s Chief Financial Officer.The intern will participate in a wide range of tasks in financial management: documenting standard operating procedures, helping improve processes, working with accounts payable, assisting with data automation and validation, reconciling accounts, and helping with budget execution. 

Candidates must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in business, accounting, or a related field. Candidates pursuing an undergraduate degree must be entering their junior or senior year in the fall.

The Congressional Budget Office is a small nonpartisan agency that provides economic and budgetary analysis to the Congress. 

CBO's Information Resource Management and Technology Services Unit in the Management, Business, and Information Services Division seeks a summer intern with a strong work ethic to be part of a 14-person information technology group performing computer support and related assignments. Duties include installing hardware and software, troubleshooting and resolving problems, and working on special projects.

Candidates working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field will be considered.
