The Congressional Budget Office is a small, nonpartisan agency that provides economic and budgetary analyses to the Congress. The Information Resource Management and Technology Services Unit (IRM), which is within the Management, Business, and Information Services Division, seeks a Senior Computer Systems Engineer who has expertise in all phases of the software development life cycle as well as broader experience in information technology (IT) operations and management.

The successful candidate will have experience with software selection and with the development, maintenance, and migration of projects for a variety of systems over a broad range of technology platforms. In addition, the successful candidate must handle multiple tasks simultaneously and complete projects under tight deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required; the candidate must interact effectively with people at every level of the organization.
