CBO’s Budget Analysis Division seeks an entry level analyst for its Natural and Physical Resources Cost Estimates Unit. The unit prepares multiyear budget projections and produces cost estimates for legislative proposals, focusing on the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Energy, Homeland Security, Interior, Justice, and Transportation, among others, and on various independent agencies, including the Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Communications Commission, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and Small Business Administration.
CBO’s Budget Analysis Division seeks one or two analysts who will focus on federal health care policy. At least one of the positions will cover the Food and Drug Administration and prescription drug policy; the other may cover Medicare’s payments to physicians, hospitals, and other providers.
Applicants must have a graduate degree in public policy, public administration, public health, economics, or a related field; or a bachelor’s degree in one of those fields with at least four years of relevant work experience and a strong interest in health policy.
CBO’s Budget Analysis Division seeks an analyst who will focus on the Medicare program, including Medicare’s payments to physicians, hospitals, and other providers in the fee-for-service system, and also track different payment approaches in Medicare.
Applicants must have at least three years of relevant work experience and a graduate degree in public policy, public administration, public health, economics, or a related field; or at least seven years of relevant work experience and a bachelor’s degree in one of those fields.
