The Congressional Budget Office is a small nonpartisan agency that provides economic and budgetary analysis to the Congress. CBO’s Budget Analysis Division seeks an experienced analyst for its Defense, International Affairs, and Veterans’ Affairs Cost Estimates Unit to primarily cover defense issues such as acquisition programs, operation and maintenance activities, and revolving funds. Over time, that analyst’s portfolio could expand to include other defense-related areas. The analyst will estimate the costs of legislative proposals affecting authorizations of defense programs, and the use of appropriated funds, and prepare multi-year budget projections for those programs.
