The agency has a number of positions available for visiting scholars. The visiting scholars’ terms will be from 4 to 12 months long and will occur during the period from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023.

Visiting scholars will interact with CBO’s staff on health care, finance, distributional analysis, and other topics. For example, the agency is particularly interested in hosting scholars with expertise in the economics of mental health, long-term care, telehealth, and Medicare Advantage.

This opportunity is expected to be of particular interest to people on paid sabbatical from another institution; CBO will provide office space and computing support but will not provide a salary. Full- and part-time schedules are available.
