Cast Call! Be a part of this year’s Halloween play.

Blythe Park PTA will continue the tradition of parents performing in the PTA sponsored Halloween Play.  This year we would like to perform, “Frankenstudent”.

The students will have their usual Halloween Parade and then look forward to seeing parents in the Halloween Play!  Parent participation is needed for casting and prop production.  Practices will be light, stress free and FUN starting the week of September, 23rd.

We would like to offer practices twice a week, for the five weeks (days to be determined by cast) prior to the performance on Thursday, October 31st at 2:00 pm.  Practices will be approximately one to one and a half hours one to two days/evenings per week The length of practice and add on practices if needed will be determined by the cast comfort level with readiness for the scheduled performance.

We understand it is a huge commitment and will work with all parents interested to the best of our ability!

Again, parent participation is necessary for the PTA to continue this tradition!  So, if you always wanted to act, love to act or just want to participate in any way small or large please email Mary Smith at mimaha@abcglabal.net with any questions before you commit.

Thank you!

Keep clipping for the new Box Top program “Race for Box Tops”

This year’s Box Top program to feature a “Race for Box Tops.”  The Blythe Park PTA will be taking a new approach with the contest this year. Instead of having monthly class room contests with a monthly prize for the class that submits the most Box Tops, the new contest has each class working to reach various prize levels throughout the entire school year.  Each time a classroom reaches a designated level, the entire class earns a prize.  And everyone at Blythe Park will be able to track the progress as the classes Race around Blythe Park on the “Race for Box Tops” display that will be posted outside the school office soon.  See the attached flier for more details and tips for clipping Box Tops.  Every class has a chance to win at least one prize throughout the school year, so get in the Race for Box Tops, Blythe Park!
Some reminders and ideas:
  • Send your Box Tops in on a regular basis so you don’t lose track of them at home.
  • Don’t forget to include your name and class on the bag/envelope with your Box Tops so your class      gets credit!
  • Don’t forget that Box Tops do have expiration dates – expired Box Tops aren’t honored by the Box Tops for Education team, so they won’t count towards the classroom count either.
  • Ask your family, colleagues, and friends to clip for you!
  • Go to www.boxtops4education.com to learn more about Box Tops for Education and for information about additional opportunities, such as contests, for earning Box Tops for Blythe Park.
  • Watch Happenings for extra earning opportunities, such as the Bonus Box Tops offers currently running at Meijer and Jewel.  At Meijer, earn 60 Bonus Box Tops when you buy any 10 participating General Mills Box Tops for Education products in a single transaction.  This offer runs through September 11, 2013 and is limited to one bonus per transaction.  At Jewel, earn 50 Bonus eBox Tops when you buy any 10 participating General Mills Box Tops for Education products in a single transaction.  This offer runs through September 10, 2013 and is limited to one bonus per transaction.
