You should have received your child’s Original Works artwork. Magnets are back! You may keep the magnet for $5.00 and return the packet, and/or order additional products from the order form included.

Please return your order no later than Wednesday, November 13th, to make sure your gifts arrive in time for holiday giving - around mid-December.

You may also send along sibling artwork, photographs and other keepsakes to create even more timeless treasures for you and your family. If you plan on submitting artwork completed by siblings, family photos, birth announcements or any other items, your original artwork must be submitted on a 8 x 10 1/2 piece of paper. Please use thicker copy paper strength.  Place a “T” on the back of the artwork in pencil to indicate the TOP.  Additional artwork is also due on Wednesday, November 13th.

Any questions, contact Mia Stanovich.

Wellness Wednesday is this week!

Wellness Wednesday is this week!  The winning class of the October Bulldog Challenge will be announced and Paw Print charms will be distributed to all students who turned in their October fitness log sheets.  November log sheets were distributed to all students, but are also available on the PTA website if you still need one.  Keep tracking your points!

Our Wellness Wednesday guest will be Rich Fantozzi from the Berwyn Bombers Lacrosse Program.  He began playing lacrosse at the park district level and continued playing through high school, college, and into men’s leagues in Chicago.  He has over 30 years of experience. The Berwyn Bombers Lacrosse Program started in the Spring of 2013 thanks to a US Lacrosse grant awarded to the Berwyn Park District– the only park district in the country to receive this award.  The grant was intended to bring lacrosse to the surrounding communities and included free equipment for kids who participate in the program.  This past fall season they had kids from Berwyn, Riverside (including 4 students from Blythe Park) and four surrounding suburbs represented on their team.  They offer two programs in both the Spring and Fall for boys ages 10-14.

Fourth graders will be able to try our healthy snack this month.  The snack will be frozen yogurt covered strawberries.  Yum!

Got mismatched socks! Reading Night is looking for some.

This year’s Reading Night will include a sock puppet craft, and PTA is desperate for your old socks! Any kind of knee socks will do - colored or white – kids or adult. Got a lot of mismatched socks? We’ll take ‘em – just drop them off at the office! Thank you
