Blythe Park PTA Happenings 12/16/2013

The PTA elves have been busy making ornaments again this year!  Each year PTA makes a hand made ornament for each child and staff member.  This year’s ornament came home in your child’s backpack on Friday.   Enjoy!

      

Blythe Park’s Holiday Program will be performed tonight Monday, December 16th at 7:00pm in the Blythe Park Auditorium. The K-3rd graders will be performing “The Elves Impersonator”.

      

The December Board of Education Meeting will take place on Tuesday, December 17th at 7:30pm in the Hauser LRC.  A policy committee meeting will be held from 6:00pm-7:20pm.  The agenda for both meetings can be found at the following link:

PTA is hosting our first annual Holiday Bake Sale this Friday, December 20 from 3 to 6 pm and we need your confections!  We hope to tempt Blythe families and all our neighbors to our first ever sale, and we need your irresistible treats!  Any holiday confection is welcome – cookies, fudge, cupcakes – in any quantity! Please sign up here and plan to drop off your treats any time on Friday the 20^th.

Hoping to bring some homemade goodies to holiday parties, but don’t have time to bake? Let the Blythe Bakers help! Bring your favorite tray and load it up with goodies to give or keep.

Volunteers needed for setup, sales and cleanup. Wear your ugliest holiday sweaterand vie for a prize! Signup to work the bake sale, here, too!

      

GS Troop 40690 is hosting a District 96 wide 5th grade only Sock Hop for Hope on Friday, December, 20 7 pm -9 pm in the Hauser gymnasium. Admission is $3, snacks $.50, photo booth  photos $1. All proceeds go to the Kanuwloe Community School in Ghana, Africa. This is in direct support of Tom Lupfer’s trip to Ghana with International Needs Network (www.innetworkusa.org). All students will need to be signed in and out by an adult, however you will not need to stay with your child for the duration of the dance. You may enter Hauser through the parking lot, entrance 4. The Teacher’s Angel Closet is open again this year. Donations of warm weather clothing - coats, snow pants, boots, hats, gloves and other winter gear are being gratefully accepted. Just drop off that gently-used, outgrown gear to Mrs. Bryan or in the office. Thank you!
