Blythe Park PTA Happenings 01/06/2014

You’re invited to the January PTA meeting to be held this Wednesday, January 8th at 9:00am in the lunch/multi-purpose room. Please join us to hear about all the upcoming PTA programs.

Bulldog Challenge fitness logs for December are due by this Wednesday, January 8th.  Remember, the class with the highest participation will earn a free day in gym!  Mrs. Goletz will also be raffling off prizes to students who turn in their sheets! You should have received a January log sheet prior to break, but if you need another click on the following link: http://www.blytheparkpta.org/?page_id=2760 and you can find one to download.

      

The library volunteers are sometimes in need of substitutes.  If you would like to come help in library when the assigned volunteer is unavailable, contact Julie Laube or Julie Stack.

      

Treat your kid(s) to a hot lunch and treat yourself to a day off from packing lunches!

The next Hot Lunch Fundraiser is Friday, January 10th, the menu will include: slice of cheese pizza, seasonal fruit, cookie and a drink.  The cost per child is $5.00.  To register your child(ren), go to www.blytheparkpta.org and click on the hot lunch sign-up button located on the right side bar.

If you signed up for Hot Lunch for the remainder of the year, you are all set!  No reservations are needed for the remainder of the year. Thanks for supporting the Hot Lunch Fundraiser!

The reservation deadline is Wednesday, January 8th. Reservations will not be accepted after Wednesday. Please make sure to make your reservation by then.

Students at Blythe will have a chance to support the Kanuwloe Community School in Ghana, Africa, supported by the International Needs Network www.innetworkusa.org.  Our own, Tim Lupfer will bring needed supplies to the school when he travels to Africa in the coming weeks. A Ziploc bag is coming home in your child’s backpack soon with info on supporting the school and the supplies they need if you’d like to help.  Thank you.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Sock Hop for Hope and the Holiday Bake Sale.  The 5th Grade Girl Scouts raised over $500.00 for Kanuwloe Community School and our first holiday bake sale was a success!
