Blythe Park PTA Happenings 02/03/2014

Bulldog Challenge fitness logs for January are due by this Wednesday, February 5th.  Remember, the class with the highest participation will earn a free day in gym!  Mrs. Goletz will also be raffling off prizes to students who turn in their sheets!  If you have not received your February log yet, look for it in your child’s backpack this week.  If you need another log, click on the following link: http://www.blytheparkpta.org/?page_id=2760 and you can find one to download.

      

Your invited to the February PTA Meeting. It will be held on this Wednesday, February 5th at 6:30pm.  We will begin the process of nominating officers for the 2014/2015 school year.  Join us if you’re interested in serving on the Board or on the Nominating Committee, or contact Julie Stack. Also on the agenda: Hot lunch survey results, proposed Dist 96 calendar for the 14/15 school year.  Buona Beef will be on hand with samples of their lunch menu items.  Come try a snack! Babysitters available.

Blythe Park PTA’s Fun Lunch will be held Friday, February 7th.  At the Fun Lunch, Blythe Park PTA serves lunch to all the children at not cost to the families.

This year’s menu will feature Pasta (plain, with butter or with sauce), bread & butter, fruit and dessert.

Kindergarteners are invited to join us for the lunch too.  Each kindergartener will need to be accompanied by an adult guardian and return the attached RSVP slip.  We hope you can join us for the fun.

This year’s talent show will held on Thursday, February 27th at 7pm with the dress rehearsal on Wednesday, February 26th from 3:00pm-5:00pm. The children will be asked to make a presentation to the talent show committee on either Tuesday, February 18th or Wednesday, February 19th during lunch.  Groups will be notified of their presentation date the week prior.  The presentation to the talent show committee needs to be your child’s complete act including music selection, costumes and props.

Each talent show participant must register using the on-line sign-up.  Go to the Blythe Park PTA website at www.blytheparkpta.org and click on the talent show button and register your child by Friday, February 14th.
