Blythe Park PTA Happenings 05/27/2014
 Last call to sign-up to participate in the Friday, May 30th Variety Lunch is today Tuesday, May 27th. Reservations will not be accepted after today. If interested, please sign-up your child(ren) at http://www.blytheparkpta.org/ and click on the variety lunch sign-up button located on the right side bar. Please send payment to the office in an envelope with Variety Lunch and your name written on it. Thanks!
The menu will include: Buona Beef Chicken Tenders, seasonal fruit, cookie and a drink. The meal will include four all white meat breaded chicken tenders with BBQ sauce or ranch dip on the side. The cost per child is $5.00.

Blythe Park PTA will hold a meet and greet for the new Blythe Park principal Casimira Gorman this Wednesday, May 28th. Please join us at 8:30am in the lunch room. Babysitting will be available.
 Blythe Park Student Council is organizing a fundraiser to raise money for Blythe Park School’s Angel Fund.
The Angel Fund is for students at our school that may need help purchasing school supplies, cold weather clothing, field trips, etc.
*Every Wednesday in May, the students can play BINGO during their lunchtime recess.
*Student must pay $1.00 (cash only) to participate.
*Students bring their cash to the BINGO game.
*Students without money will not be allowed to play BINGO.
*Students may not pay in advance.

11:35-11:55- 4th & 5th grade
11:55-12:25- K-3rd grade
(Kindergarteners must have an adult from home come with them to participate in bingo.)

Treat your kid(s) to a hot lunch and treat yourself to a day off from packing lunches!
The last Hot Lunch Fundraiser is Friday, June 6th the menu will include: slice of cheese pizza, seasonal fruit, cookie and a drink. The cost per child is $5.00. To register your child(ren), go to www.blytheparkpta.org and click on the hot lunch sign-up button located on the right side bar.
If you signed up for Hot Lunch for the remainder of the year, you are all set! No reservations are needed for the remainder of the year. Thanks for supporting the Hot Lunch Fundraiser!
The reservation deadline is Wednesday, June 4th. Reservations will not be accepted after Wednesday. Please make sure to make your reservation by then.

 The last big PTA event, FIELD DAY, is coming up quickly! Field Day will be held on the last day of school Wednesday, June 11th. Please note is a date change from Tuesday, June 3rd as noted on the District calendar.
We will be looking for parent volunteers to help with Field Day. Field Day will be held in the morning from 8:45am-11:30am. To make this event a success, we need lots of volunteers to run the games. Please take a look at your calendars! To volunteer, click on the VolunteerSpot below. If you would like to volunteer and need to bring a sibling, please do. Just make a note on VolunteerSpot that a sibling will be attending. Thanks!

We are in the final stretch of our Race for Box Tops!
Overall Progress – So far we have collected 10,247 Box Tops this year, which is 85% of the way to our goal of 12,000 Box Tops! Keep on clipping to help us reach our goal!
Turn in Box Tops now – Lots of Box Tops expire on June 1, 2014. We will be making a submission on May 31 to beat that expiration deadline. Please turn in your Box Tops by Friday, May 30.
Classroom Achievements – Mrs. Bassing’s, Mrs. Depke’s, Mrs. Bryan’s and Mrs. Pollock’s classrooms all reached the next award levels and will be receiving their treats very soon. In addition, several classrooms are very close to reaching the next award level. Keep on clipping!
K-Bassing
Not thinking about school supplies for fall yet? No worries. But when you start your shopping, consider Office Depot to fill your list. They’re offering Blythe 5% back on all school supply purchases made. Bring the lists posted on our website at www.blytheparkpta.org or our school ID Number:70034318 with you when you shop and they will process our rebate. You don’t even need to carry the list – just have our ID Number, and they’ll print it for you! Attached are the supply lists for each grade.
