The Executive Board has become aware of tax issues from 2008 and 2009 that need immediate attention. This has the potential to negatively impact all PTA programming for the next school year, which includes, but is not limited to, assemblies, family fun events, and philanthropy.
Thursday morning, June 5th at 8:30am, there will be an informational meeting in the lunch room about these tax issues and the plans that are being made to remedy these issues. The Blythe Park PTA 2014-2015 Executive Board strongly encourages you to attend.
Today in your child’s back pack, you will receive your 2014-2015 PTA Registration packet. You may complete the process hard copy or electronically this year.

To complete the electronic process start by clicking on this link http://www.blytheparkpta.org and clicking on the membership registration button.
For the 2014-2015 school year, the membership costs will remain the same as last year. The PTA Membership/School Directory package will cost $6.00, and District 96 School Calendars will cost $5.00. Please make checks payable to Blythe Park PTA ($11.00 for both) and send your payment to the school office by Monday, June 9th.
The information you provide will be used for PTA communication in the following areas:
-To prepare the 2014-2015 Blythe Park school directory.
-For distribution of the PTA weekly e-mail newsletter, ” Blythe Park Happenings.”
Your e-mail address will remain CONFIDENTIAL to Blythe Park PTA. Your e-mail address will NOT be shared with others. It will ONLY be printed in the school directory if you denote by checking the box.
Once your registration form is completed, don’t forget to fill out the volunteer form. To complete this form, go to www.blytheparkpta.org and click on the “Get Involved” button located on the right banner.
This year the volunteer form will have sign-ups for chair and co-chairs only. As the events are planned, calls for volunteers will be solicited through the Happenings.
The last big PTA event, FIELD DAY, is coming up quickly! Field Day will be held on the last day of school Wednesday, June 11th. Please note is a date change from Tuesday, June 3rd as noted on the District calendar.
We are looking for parent volunteers to help with Field Day. Field Day will be held in the morning from 8:45am-11:30am. To make this event a success, we need lots of volunteers to run the games. Please take a look at your calendars! To volunteer, click on the VolunteerSpot below. If you would like to volunteer and need to bring a sibling, please do. Just make a note on VolunteerSpot that a sibling will be attending. Thanks!
