 Today is the first Early Release Monday. All students will be released at 2:00pm in grades K-5 and at 2:15pm from in Grades 6-8.
 To celebrate the new school year and Blythe Park creativity, we are hoping to chalk all the sidewalk squares that surround Blythe Park with beautiful artwork. So, come join in the fun!
How does it work? Sidewalk squares can be purchased for $3.00 each. Purchase a family square or one for each member of your family. Squares will need to be chalked with your artistic design on Wednesday, September 17th, Thursday, September 18th or Friday, September 19th. As part of this year’s ice cream social, we will have our very own art gallery on display.

Open Office Hours
Please stop by any time during the days/ times noted below to meet with Dr. Sharma-Lewis in the District Office located at 63 Woodside Road. These informal meetings are intended to provide time to discuss any topics related to District 96, your schools or your child(ren). Meetings will be held each month to accommodate parents/community members who may not be able to meet during the school day and to provide an opportunity for open, two-way communications. Parent University
District 96 will be holding a Parent University program on Tuesday, September 30th at 6:30pm in the Hauser Auditorium. The Parent University will focus on the Common Core State Standards. Click on the flyer below for details.

Hopefully you’ve been clipping Box Tops over the summer because the Annual Box Tops for Education Summer Contest is on!
Submit all the Box Tops you’ve clipped over the summer to the collection bin outside the school office with your student’s name on the bag/envelope. Send your Box Tops for the Summer Contest to school by Friday, September 12th. A cool prize will be awarded the following week to the family that submits the most Box Tops (in other words, if one family turns in Box Tops for different classrooms, those submissions will be combined for purposes of the Summer Contest). All submissions also count toward the year-long classroom contest. Contact Laura Rubio at rubiolaura1@gmail.com with any questions.
 As you are doing some back to school cleaning, don’t throw anything away….Blythe Park PTA will be holding a garage sale on Saturday, September 27th. We will be accepting donations of household items, games, toys, furniture, clothes, electronics on Friday, September 26th from 4:00-7:00pm. So, as you are cleaning save your items to donate to our first annual Garage Sale!

It will take place Friday, September 19th at 6:30pm in the Amphitheater (inside if weather is inclement).
