Blythe Park PTA Happenings 10/14/2014

Blythe Park PTA’s October Meeting will be held on Thursday, October 16th at 7:00pm in the lunch room. Please join us to hear about all the programs taking place in October and November.  Dr. Sharma Lewis will be joining us to discuss the District’s goals.  The agenda and minutes have been posted.  Please click on the links below to review them.   Refreshments will be served. Cardio Kids will meet this week on Thursday, October 16th and Friday, October 17th.  Please have your runners/walkers dressed appropriately for the activity and the weather and be ready to go 7:50am.   Parents are welcome to join in for some exercise as well.

    

This Friday, October 17th is a Blythe Park Spirit Day!   Find your favorite Blythe Park spirit wear and show it off!

    

Treat your kid(s) to a hot lunch and treat yourself to a day off from packing lunches!

The next Hot Lunch Fundraiser will be held on Friday, October 24th  The menu will include: slice of cheese pizza, seasonal fruit, cookie and a drink.  The cost per child is $5.00.  To register your child(ren), go to www.blytheparkpta.org and click on the hot lunch sign-up button located on the right side bar.  Reservations will begin this Wednesday for the October Hot Lunch.

Reservation deadline is Wednesday, October 22nd. This program is only for children that have the option of staying at school for lunch.

We will be taking reservations for the all the remaining Hot Lunches or just the October Hot Lunch. So, sign-up and pay for remaining eight Hot Lunches or just October now!  Once you have signed up, please send your payment to the school office in an envelope with your family name on it.

    

It’s a rainy day….It’s freezing outside….

Oh no! The Blythe Park Students can’t go outside for lunch recess.

NOW WHAT? Some of the students would love to play games in the library, but we don’t have very many games.

So….the Blythe Park Student Council is having a TRIPLE fundraiser to get some new games.

Here are the details:

ONE: Purchase a custom made T-shirt for $15.

* T-SHIRT ORDERS ARE DUE BY NOV. 9.

*The more shirts we sell, the more games we can buy, plus it’s a great way to show school spirit!

TWO: Students can buy a refreshing cup of lemonade for 50¢ during lunch Oct. 27-30.

*Students just need to bring CASH only to school

Oct. 27-30 to get a lemonade.

*Students must bring the cash in their backpacks or lunch bags. Please do not drop cash in the office for the secretary to delivery to students.

THREE: Donate a NEW GAME or cash. Just drop it off at school anytime.

It is time to paint a Halloween picture to be displayed in the windows of the local Riverside businesses.   Window painting will take place at Blythe Park School located at 735 Leesley Rd.

Here are the details:

• Painting will take place on Saturday, October 25th from 10-2pm.
• Paintings will be done on paper and then hung in local business windows
• Program available to all K-5th Graders in Riverside Township
• Registration form is attached
• Registration deadline - Wednesday, October 22nd

    

We’ve teamed up with Cleaner Option an organic laundry & dry cleaning business that offers free home pick-up and delivery.

About Cleaner Options:

• Home dry cleaning business for over 15 years
• 10% of Blythe Park’s total January-December will be donated to Blythe Park PTA (like the Target card)
