Blythe Park PTA Happenings 12/08/2014

The General Membership Blythe Park PTA meeting scheduled for Thursday, December 11th, has been cancelled. If anyone is interested on the status of upcoming fundraisers and events, please contact Susan Casey at scasey396@comcast.net. The next General Membership meeting will be Friday, January 16th, 9 am in the Lunch Room.

    

This Friday, December 12th is a Blythe Park Spirit Day!   Find your favorite Blythe Park spirit wear and show it off!

    

If your child has a Reflection entry to submit, please make sure all entries are turned into the school office or drop off at 381 Herrick Rd.

If you still have an Original Works magnet at home,  please purchase or return your student’s magnet to the school office as soon as possible.  A reminder and invoice will be coming home soon for any outstanding magnet orders.  Thanks again for supporting your PTA

    

Treat your kid(s) to a hot lunch and treat yourself to a day off from packing lunches!

The next Hot Lunch Fundraiser will be held on Friday, December 19th.  The menu will include: slice of cheese pizza, seasonal fruit, cookie and a drink.  The cost per child is $5.00.  To register your child(ren), go to www.blytheparkpta.org and click on the hot lunch sign-up button located on the right side bar.  Reservations will begin this Tuesday for the November Hot Lunch.

Reservation deadline is Wednesday, December 17th. This program is only for children that have the option of staying at school for lunch.

If you have made sign-up and paid for the entire year, no reservations are needed.

    

Calling all 4th and 5th Grade Student Reporters! The Bulldog Newspaper needs you!

On Wednesday, Decenber 17th from 3:15-4:00pm in the auditorium there will be a meeting for any interested 4th and 5th grade students who would like to be reporters and/or illustrators for the Bulldog Newspaper.

At this meeting, interested students will learn about their roles and responsibilities of being a reporter and/or illustrator.  A project calendar will be presented and assignments will be finalized.  We would like all students to sign-up prior to the meeting for two topics of interest that they would like to report on and/or illustrate.  Please click on the sign-up below for the topics available to sign-up for.

Blythe Park’s Holiday Program will be performed on Monday, December 15th at 6:30pm in the Blythe Park Auditorium. The K-3rd graders will be performing “The Incredible Reindeer”. Make sure your kids wear their holiday best.
