Bulldog Challenge fitness logs for December are due by this Wednesday, January 7th.  If you need another log for December, click on the following link: http://www.blytheparkpta.org/?page_id=2760 and you can find one to download.  The January logs can also be found by clicking on the link above.

This Friday, January 9th is a Blythe Park Spirit Day!   Find your favorite Blythe Park spirit wear and show it off!

    

A library ‘work day’ is scheduled for this Thursday, January 8^th beginning at 12:30pm.  Whether you can come for 30 mins., an hour or until 3 or can’t come until 1 or 1:30 – no matter the time we’d love to have you join us.

We will be shifting a lot of books, reading shelves, and overall cleaning as we rearrange so new signs and other information may be hung.  Light refreshments will be served and kids are welcome to come and sit at tables to read books.

The next Meet Me at the Museum will be held this Sunday, January 11th at the Museum of Contemporary Art!  The Museum of Contemporary Art is located at 220 East Chicago Avenue in downtown Chicago.

We’ll meet inside the main entrance at 1pm, and again at 2pm to view the current exhibitions. Students are encouraged to bring a clipboard, paper, and a pencil to sketch in the museum. Please RSVP to Mrs. Alvin @ alvins@district96.org by January 6th if you plan to attend.

    

Blythe Park School’s night at the Chicago Steel will Saturday, January 24th.  It is mascot night!  The Chicago Steel will be facing the Dubuque Fighting Saints.  The game time is 7:00pm and tickets will be $7.00 per person. Ticket purchase includes a popcorn.

This year, we have a couple of prize opportunities for high ticket sellers.

Top ticket seller will get a one person ride in the Zamboni

Number 2 and Number 3 ticket sellers will each take 5 friends to the tunnel party prior to the game to high five the players as they enter the ice.

All ticket sellers will be entered into a raffle for a piece of Chicago Steel merchandise.

All students present are invited to sing the national anthem at the start of the game.

To order tickets, go to www.blytheparkpta.org and click on the Chicago Steel logo.  Make your ticket order on-line and then submit payment to the school office in an envelope labeled with your family name.  All ticket orders must be placed by Tuesday, January 20th.

Blythe Park PTA’s annual Snowball Dance will be held on Friday, January 30th from 6:30-8:00pm in the gym. It will be a winter wonderland of fun! Make sure to bring the whole family out to dance a snowy night away! Any questions, contact Margaret Senese at margaretsenese3@gmail.com.
