 To get everyone thinking about Science, Blythe Park PTA will be holding five “Science and a Sandwich Sessions” during lunch. On each of the Wednesdays listed below, Mrs. Gaynor and Mrs. Ford will be conducting a different science experiment with the kids. The kids will efficiently eat their lunch as the science experiment is explained. After eating, the science experiment will be conducted. The goal of the “Science and a Sandwich Sessions” is to get everyone thinking about science and encourage them to participate in this year’s Science Fair being held in late April. Each of the lunch science experiment sessions has a capacity of 16 students. The program is open to 1st -5th graders and kindergarteners accompanied with a parent.  Hauser PTO’s Annual Family dinner will be held on Wednesday, February 10th, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, in the Hauser cafeteria. Family, friends, community members-come for the Hauser basketball game, shop at the Scholastic Book Fair (in the library) and stay for the pasta dinner! The dinner will include: Pasta with Sauce & Meatballs * Salad * Bread * Homemade Desserts * Lemonade. Tickets are $5.00 in advance and $7.00 at the door..
All District 96 5th graders are invited to attend free with a paying adult. If your interested in attending, you can purchase tickets on-line using Cheddar Up link below.

 After School GIRLS Yoga is in full swing! Grab your friends and learn some great ways to relax the mind and body. Class will run from 3:00-3:45pm on Thursdays in the gym and the cost is $10.
The remaining February and March Sessions Dates: 2/11, 2/18, 3/3, 3/10, 3/17 and 3/24
If your daughter is interested in participating in the February/March session, please sign her up by clicking on the CheddarUp button. Sign-up deadline is Wednesday of each week.

 There will be no winter Kids Boot Camp this Friday due to school not being in session on Friday. Still would like to join? Pick up a flyer with a permission slip in the office or click on the attachment below. The next Kids Boot Camp will be held on 2/19.
The program is for 2nd-5th graders and will run on the following dates: 2/19, 2/26, 3/4, 3/11 and 3/18.

 For the month of February, Blythe Park PTA will be holding a Box Top contest. The class that clips and submits the most Box Tops during the month of February will win a popcorn treat. So, clip, clip, clip during February! The last Box Top submission deadline for the year is March 1st and we want it to be a big one!

 This year’s talent show will held on Thursday, February 25th at 7pm with the mandatory dress rehearsal on Wednesday, February 24th from 3:00pm-5:00pm.
The requirements for participating in the show are the following:
- All acts are prepared and rehearsed by the child or group on their own time
- All acts can be no longer than two minutes in length
- Music needs to be approved by Mrs. Smith. If possible, please supply a copy of the music for the show.
- Participants are responsible for supplying any props and costumes needed for their performance.
The children will be asked to make a presentation to the talent show committee the week of February 15th during lunch. Groups will be notified of their presentation date the week prior. The presentation to the talent show committee needs to be your child’s complete act including music selection, costumes and props.
Each talent show participant must register using the on-line sign-up or the form attached below. To sign-up on line, go to the Blythe Park PTA website at www.blytheparkpta.organd click on the talent show button. The registration deadline is Monday, February 15th.
