 Forgot to turn in your Six Flags reading log last week? The deadline has been extended till today! Drop off at the office or e-mail to Debby Galloway and you will get on free admission ticket to a participating Six Flags Theme Park this summer.
Every Blythe Park student who completes six hours of reading and submits a signed reading log by MONDAY, MARCH 7TH will receive one free admission ticket to a participating Six Flags Theme Park this summer.
STUDENTS: Read for fun for a total of 6 hours, track your time, have your parent/guardian sign the reading log form, and return it to your teacher or have your parent/guardian email it to the School Coordinator, Debby Galloway at dastrama@gmail.com by MONDAY, MARCH 7TH

2016 Six Flags Student Reading Log
To get everyone thinking about Science, Blythe Park PTA will be holding five “Science and a Sandwich Sessions” during lunch. On each of the Wednesdays listed below, Mrs. Gaynor and Mrs. Ford will be conducting a different science experiment with the kids. The kids will efficiently eat their lunch as the science experiment is explained. After eating, the science experiment will be conducted. The goal of the “Science and a Sandwich Sessions” is to get everyone thinking about science and encourage them to participate in this year’s Science Fair being held in late April. Each of the lunch science experiment sessions has a capacity of 16 students. The program is open to 1st -5th graders and kindergarteners accompanied with a parent.  After School GIRLS Yoga is in full swing! Grab your friends and learn some great ways to relax the mind and body. Class will run from 3:00-3:45pm at a cost of $10.00

 Blythe Park PTA’s Election Day Bake Sale will be held next Tuesday, March 15th from 6am-5pm right outside the library. Let’s make the bake sale a success! We need everyone to bake! We also need volunteers to help run the bake sale throughout the day. Please click on the link below to sign up to be a baker and/or a volunteer.
All baked goods can be sent to school on Monday, March 14th. Please packaged muffins, cookies, and cupcakes into packages of 3 or 4 and include the name of the baked goods on each package. The Blythe Park PTA Schwan’s Fundraiser starts today. Please look in your child’s backpack for the Schwan’s catalog and ordering instructions. The Schwan’s Fundraiser will run from March 7th – Aprl 21st. On all orders placed by April 21th, 20% of the product and 40% of eGift Card sales will go back to Blythe Park PTA. The first delivery date available is March 14th.

 Illinois largest waterpark, Raging Waves Waterpark, located in Yorkville is offering a fitness program for kids.
Children are invited to Plunge into Fitness this spring as Raging Waves Waterpark joins the battle against childhood obesity. The fitness initiative runs now through April 11th, and each child completing the program requirements during this time period will receive a free Raging Waves full day admission pass.
The Plunge into fitness program requires a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise each day, which totals 25 hours for the seven week period. Any activity that increases heart rate qualifies including: walking, running, biking, playing team sports, skateboarding, swimming, jumping rope and hopscotch. The fitness log that needs to be completed is attached. Once complete, a parent will sign it and the child will turn it into the school office by April 11th.
