Blythe Park PTA Happenings 03/15/2016

Blythe Park PTA’s Election Day Bake Sale will be held tomorrow Tuesday, March 15th from 6am-5pm right outside the library.  Let’s make the bake sale a success!  We need everyone to bake!  We also need volunteers to help run the bake sale throughout the day. Please click on the link below to sign up to be a baker and/or a volunteer.

All baked goods can be sent to school today Monday, March 14th or dropped off tomorrow morning at the bake sale tables outside the library.  Please packaged muffins, cookies, and cupcakes into packages of 3 or 4 and include the name of the baked goods on each package.  Please note if the baked good has nuts.  If you have any questions, please contact Laura Rodriguez at laura3144@att.net.

    

Please join us for the Blythe Park PTA March meeting to be held this Thursday, March 17th at 9:00am in the lunch room.  Come find out about PTA’s April and May events.  The nominating committee will nominate officers for the 2016-2017 school year.

Would you like to have a DVD of this year’s talent show to share with family and friends or just to keep as a memory for years to come?  If so, purchase this year’s DVD.  DVD’s are $25.00 and will be on sale through March 16th.    To purchase, fill out the attached form and return to the office.

After School GIRLS Yoga is in full swing! Grab your friends and learn some great ways to relax the mind and body. Class will run from 3:00-3:45pm at a cost of $10.00

The March Sessions Dates are:  3/17 and 3/24

If your daughter is interested in participating in any of the March session dates, please sign her up by clicking on the CheddarUp button.   Sign-up deadline is always Wednesday of each week.

Winter Kids Boot Camp is this Friday.   This is the last week of winter Boot Camp.   See you Friday at 7:40am in the gym.   Everyone get ready for Cardio Kids to start up soon.

    

The Blythe Park PTA Schwan’s Fundraiser is in full swing!  Please look in your child’s backpack for the Schwan’s catalog and ordering instructions if you did not receive one last week.  The Schwan’s Fundraiser will run from March 7th – Aprl 21st.  On all orders placed by April 21th, 20% of the product and 40% of eGift Card sales will go back to Blythe Park PTA.   The first delivery date available is today.

Treat your kid(s) to a hot lunch and treat yourself to a day off from packing lunches!

The March Hot Lunch is Wednesday, March 23rd.  Please note date change from Thursday to Wednesday. The menu will include: slice of cheese pizza, seasonal fruit, cookie and a drink.  The cost per child is $5.00.  Please register your child(ren) by clicking on the Cheddar-Up button below:

Similar to last month, you will be able to pay for the Hot Lunch Fundraiser on-line. If you would not like to use the on-line payment option, please send cash or check (payable to Blythe Park PTA) to the school office with your family name and “Hot Lunch” written on the envelope.  You can pay for the remainder of the year or single lunches.

PLEASE NOTE – all children must be registered by clicking on the Cheddar Up button above no matter what your payment method  is going to be (cash, check or credit).  If you have paid for the entire year last month, no reservation is needed for the remainder of the year.

This month’s reservation deadline is Monday, March 21st.   This program is only for children that have the option of staying at school for lunch.

So, sign-up and pay for the Hot Lunch fundraiser now!

Blythe Park Student Council is having a Spring Clean Up Rummage Sale on Wednesday, April 6th.  They are in need of your gently used toys, games, stuffed animals and dress-up clothes.  Please send all your rummage sale donations to school by Tuesday, April 5th.

• All Blythe Park Students will be able to shop at the rummage during lunch recess
• Kindergarten may shop with an adult helper anytime between 11:30am-12:00pm
• Students going home for lunch may shop from 12:15pm-12:30pm
• All items will cost $1.00 (There will be no limit on how many items a student by buy or spend)
• Students may bring cash only to school on Wednesday, April 6th

All proceeds will benefit the whole school field trip to the Brookfield Zoo in June.
