Blythe Park PTA welcomes new and returning students and their families to the 2016-2017 school year. We hope you had a very enjoyable summer and are ready to for a great year of learning.

Throughout the year, Blythe Park PTA brings a variety of programming to the children and families of Blythe Park School in the areas of academic enrichment and family fun. We encourage you to get involved throughout the year when ever you can.

Blythe Park PTA will hold the Blue and White Kindergarten picnic for kindergarteners and their families on Wednesday, August 24th from 12:00pm-1:00pm in the amphitheater (inside if weather is inclement). Bring a blanket to sit on! There will be cheese and cheese/sausage pizza, juice boxes, and water served!  Feel free to bring your own food or drink if you prefer.  Parents and siblings are welcome. The kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Bassing and principal, Ms. Gorman will stop by and say HI! If you did not RSVP to the Evite, please do so. You’re invited to the Meet and Greet to be held at Blythe Park School Wednesday, August 24th from 2:00-3:00pm. This is a time for students to meet their new teacher, drop off supplies and visit the classroom. Take this opportunity to reconnect with Blythe Park families on their happenings of the summer months and celebrate the start of a new school year! Stop by for a yummy cool treat in the amphitheater!

 

The first full day of school for District 96 students is Thursday, August 25th. The first day will be a FULL day with a start time of 8:15am and end time of 2:55pm.

On August 25th, kindergartners will attend (with a parent/guardian) the Kindergarten Meet and Greet. Kindergartners and their families are welcome to come to see their classroom and drop off supplies/materials any time between 8:15-11:15 AM.

Kindergartners first official day of school will be Friday, August 26th (8:15-11:10 AM).

 

Whether you’re feeling sad or feeling glad about the start of school, stop by and enjoy a cup of coffee and a sweet treat on Friday, August 26th at 8:30am in the Library. Come meet the Blythe PTA Executive Board and get all your questions answered about PTA. We look forward to reconnecting with returning families and meeting new families!

 

Parents can you feel the excitement? The new school year is about to begin! So, that means it is time for the annual Blythe Park Spirit Wear sale! Look for the spirit wear table on the first day of school to check out this year’s selection. Click on the following for the entire catalog of offerings and the order form.

If you are new to Blythe Park School or have not purchased spirit wear in the past, please consider taking a look and making a purchase for either yourself or your student…. cute shirts/sweats/flannel pants/hats/jerseys/skirts in school colors with Blythe Park logos. These clothing items make great gifts so please share the ordering information with your family and friends who may be looking for gift ideas for your children.

Join the PTA! For the 2016-2017 school year the PTA Membership/School Directory package will cost $10.00. The membership letter and Directory Form are below. The information you provide will be used for PTA communication in the following areas:

-To prepare the 2016-2017 Blythe Park school directory.
-For distribution of the PTA weekly e-mail newsletter, ” Blythe Park Happenings.”

Your e-mail address will remain CONFIDENTIAL to Blythe Park PTA. Your e-mail address will NOT be shared with others. It will ONLY be printed in the school directory if you denote by checking the box.

The Blythe Park PTA will kick off the school year with our annual Ice Cream Social on Friday, August 26th from 6:00-8:00pm

The first Blythe Park PTA meeting of the school year will be held Thursday, September 1st at 8:30am.
