District 96 Kindergarten Registration Information Night

Elementary school principals and Kindergarten teachers will be available at the presentation. There is an early bird discount on registration fees. ** Parents only please.

    

March volunteer spots are available to help Kindergarten, 2nd and 3rd Grade students during their library time. 

Volunteers for Kindergarten will have the opportunity to read to the students. Volunteers for 2nd and 3rd grade will help students find books for check out and then have the opportunity to read to the students. Please click on the button below to sign-up:

    

FITNESS FRIDAY – Fitness Friday was the last week in February! As part of the PTA’s Bulldog Challenge program, the goal of Fitness Fridays is to expose the students to a variety of sports and fitness activities.

All PE classes participated in a half hour of Tae Kwon Do with our guest expert, Vinson Villena, owner of Flying V Athletic Center and instructor of our PTA sponsored Blythe Park Tae Kwon Do class. He taught the students some basic warmups and kicks with an emphasis on focus and respect. Ask your child about the Tae Kwon Do activities they did throughout the morning!

Kids TaeKwonDo will be held on Thursday from 3:00-3:45pm in the Blythe Park Gym for all students in K-5th Grade. *Class reservation deadline is Wednesday. You must register by clicking on the Cheddar Up button below to participate.

*PLEASE NOTE – All children must be registered online by clicking on the Cheddar Up button no matter your payment method (cash, check or credit). Payment can be made online or send cash/check to the school office with “Kids Tae Kwon Do” on the envelope and child’s name. (Please make checks payable to Blythe Park PTA.)

The Village Trustee and District 96 School Board candidates will join us before the PTA meeting this Thursday at 7pm.

The Blythe Park PTA March meeting will be this Thursday (March 9th) immediately following the Village Trustee and District 96 School Board candidate forum.

Please join us to hear about upcoming programs and events. Also, the Nominating Committee will present the 2017-18 Proposed Executive Board Slate. Refreshments will be served. *Babysitting will be provided by the PTA. We hope you can join us!

The 2017-18 PTA Executive Board will be voted on at the April General Membership meeting. Elected officers will be installed at the May General Membership meeting.

The Mixed Bag Fundraiser is in full swing! Blythe Park families and friends can purchase tote bags, accessories, kitchenware and more. The fundraiser will run until Friday, March 17th.

40% of your purchases will go to Blythe Park School!

Students are invited to “Plunge into Fitness” this spring as Raging Waves Waterpark joins the battle against childhood obesity. Each student completing the program requirements between February 13th through April 10th will receive a FREE full day admission pass to Raging Waves, located in Yorkville.

STUDENTS: Exercise a minimum of 30 minutes each day (equaling 25 hours per week) from February 13th through April 10th. Log your time and have a parent/guardian sign the log.

PARENTS/GUARDIANS: Print the log listed below and help track your child’s fitness, then sign the form and send it back to school or email to the School Coordinator, Vivian Robles at vivro1970@gmail.com by April 10th.

• Please submit only valid/unexpired Box Tops. Unfortunately, the largest number of Box Tops has been expired Box Tops. Only valid/unexpired Box Tops can be submitted for credit.
• Please be sure to include students name/grade on either the monthly Box Tops sheet, an envelope or baggie.  Box Tops can be turned in to the office at any time.
