March volunteer spots are available to help Kindergarten, 2nd and 3rd Grade students during their library time.
Volunteers for Kindergarten will have the opportunity to read to the students. Volunteers for 2nd and 3rd grade will help students find books for check out and then have the opportunity to read to the students. Please click on the button below to sign-up:

Girls Yoga will take place this Wednesday from 3:00-3:45pm in the Blythe Park Gym for girls in Kindergarten-5th Grade. *Class reservation deadline is Tuesday. You must register by clicking on the Cheddar Up button below to participate.

*PLEASE NOTE – All children must be registered online by clicking on the Cheddar Up button no matter your payment method (cash, check or credit). Payment can be made online or send cash/check to the school office with “Girls Yoga” on the envelope and child’s name. (Please make checks payable to Blythe Park PTA.)

Sign your student up for a “Science and a Sandwich” session during lunch!
To get students thinking about science, the Blythe Park PTA will conduct “Science and a Sandwich” sessions during lunchtime. The goal of the sessions is to start students thinking about science and encourage them to participate in this year’s PTA Science Fair on Thursday, April 27th.
During the “Science and a Sandwich” sessions, students will eat their lunch while a parent guest speaker explains a science experiment. (*Students must bring their own lunch.) After eating, the students will conduct the science experiment and log their data.
The program is open to 1st -5th Graders and Kindergarteners accompanied by a parent or guardian. Each session has a capacity of 20 students.
Session #2, “Science and a Sandwich” – Thursday, March 16th.

Blythe Park families are invited to the One School, One Book Event featuring the novel, The World According to Humphrey.
The celebration will take place in Blythe Park’s gymnasium this Thursday, March 16th, from 6:30-8:00 pm.
Join us for crafts and activities that relate to the book.

Mixed Bag Fundraiser order forms are due this Friday, March 17th. Blythe Park families and friends can purchase tote bags, accessories, kitchenware and more.
Check out display samples on the bulletin board outside the main office or on the display table at the One School, One Book Party on Thursday, March 16th.
50% of paper orders (submitted to Gretchen Lupfer) and 40% of online purchases will go to Blythe Park School!

At the March PTA Meeting, the Nominating Committee presented the following slate for the 2017-2018 Blythe Park PTA Executive Board.
The 2017-18 PTA Executive Board will be voted on at the April General Membership meeting. Elected officers will be installed at the May meeting.

The Blythe Park Garden Club for 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade students will have a meeting Monday, March 20th from 11:30 – 12:15pm in Mrs. Bryan’s room.
Mrs. Sayre and Mrs. Bryan will help students research flowers and plants for the Blythe Park Prairie Garden. Students will be planning and planting the new garden!

Treat your kid(s) to a hot lunch and treat yourself to a day off from packing lunches!
Hot Lunch is next Friday, March 24th. The menu will include: slice of cheese pizza, seasonal fruit, cookie and a drink. The cost per child is $5.00. To register your child(ren) click on the CheddarUp button below.
You can pay for the Hot Lunch Fundraiser online OR send cash or check (payable to Blythe Park PTA) to the school office with your family name and “Hot Lunch” written on the envelope. You can pay for the remainder of the year or single lunches.
