A Blythe Park PTA Election Day Bake Sale will be held on Tuesday, April 4th.
We are looking for volunteers to help run the sale throughout the day. Please click on the following button to sign up to volunteer:

Girls Yoga this Wednesday.
Girls Yoga will take place this Wednesday from 3:00-3:45pm in the Blythe Park Gym for girls in Kindergarten-5th Grade. *Class reservation deadline is Tuesday.

Purchase one class or two-class pass at $10 per class. Please register online by clicking the Cheddar Up button. Pay online or send cash/check to the school office with “Girls Yoga” on the envelope and child’s name. (Please make checks payable to Blythe Park PTA.)

Kids Tae Kwon Do this Thursday.
Kids Tae Kwon Do will be held on Thursday from 3:00-3:45pm in the Blythe Park Gym for all students in K-5th Grade. *Class reservation deadline is Wednesday. You must signup to participate.

Sign your student up for a “Science and a Sandwich” session during lunch!
To get students thinking about science, the Blythe Park PTA will conduct “Science and a Sandwich” sessions during lunchtime.
The goal of the sessions is to start students thinking about science and encourage them to participate in this year’s PTA Science Fair on Thursday, April 27th. Click on the following link for more info on the Science Fair – 2017 PTA Science Fair
During the “Science and a Sandwich” sessions, students will eat their lunch while a parent guest speaker explains a science experiment. (*Students must bring their own lunch.) After eating, the students will conduct the science experiment and log their data.
The program is open to 1st -5th Graders and Kindergarteners accompanied by a parent or guardian. Each session has a capacity of 20 students.

The Blythe Park 2017 Young Author Books will be on display this week from April 3rd – April 10th at the Riverside Public Library in the children’s section.
Also, don’t miss the Young Authors’ Reception on Thursday, April 6th from 3:00-4:00pm. Light refreshments will be served.

The Blythe Park PTA April meeting will be this Thursday, April 6th at 7:00 pm in the lunchroom. Please join us to hear about upcoming programs and events.
Also, the general membership will be voting on the following 2017-18 Proposed Executive Board. Refreshments will be served.
The April Meeting Agenda, Treasurer’s Report and March Meeting Minutes will be posted on the PTA’s website at www.blytheparkpta.org when they are available for review.

The Blythe Park Garden Club for 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade students will have a meeting Friday, April 7th from 11:30 – 12:15pm in Mrs. Bryan’s room.
Mrs. Sayre and Mrs. Bryan will help students research flowers and plants for the Blythe Park Prairie Garden. Students will be planning and planting the new garden!

5th Grade parents don’t forget 5th Grade Games Night is this Friday, April 7th from 5:45-8:30pm at Hauser Junior High.
5th Graders from Ames, Blythe, Central and Hollywood are invited to spend the evening together getting to know each other and their new school – Hauser Junior High!

Students are invited to “Plunge into Fitness” this spring as Raging Waves Waterpark joins the battle against childhood obesity. Each student completing the program requirements between February 13th through April 10th will receive a FREE full day admission pass to Raging Waves, located in Yorkville.
STUDENTS: Exercise a minimum of 30 minutes each day (equaling 25 hours per week) from February 13th through April 10th. Log your time and have a parent/guardian sign the log.
PARENTS/GUARDIANS: Print the log listed below and help track your child’s fitness, then sign the form and send it back to school or email to the School Coordinator, Vivian Robles at vivro1970@gmail.com by April 10th.
