Blythe Park PTA Happenings 04/24/2017

Our annual PTA Plant Sale is here!  If you’ve never had the chance to order, you won’t be disappointed. We purchase the plants from Nelson and Holmberg Nursery in Naperville, and they are beautiful!

The Plant Sale ends this Friday, April 28th. Orders will be delivered on Wednesday, May 10th in time for Mother’s Day.  Please click on the following link to view the flyer and order form –  Plant Sale Flyer and Order Form 2017

Blythe Park PTA is rolling out the red carpet to celebrate our teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 1st – 5th!

Thank you to everyone who made donations towards Teacher Appreciation Week!

We are looking for volunteers throughout the week and food donations for the Thank You Breakfast and Staff Luncheon. Please click on the Sign Up button to volunteer:

Treat your kid(s) to a hot lunch and treat yourself to a day off from packing lunches!

Hot Lunch is this Friday, April 28th. The menu will include: slice of cheese pizza, seasonal fruit, cookie and a drink. The cost per child is $5.00. To register your child(ren) click on the CheddarUp button below.

You can pay for the Hot Lunch Fundraiser online OR send cash or check (payable to Blythe Park PTA) to the school office with your family name and “Hot Lunch” written on the envelope. You can pay for the remainder of the year or single lunches.

*PLEASE NOTE – All children must be registered online by clicking on the Cheddar Up button below no matter your payment method (cash, check or credit)

*Reservation deadline is Wednesday, March 26th. This program is only for children that have the option of staying at school for lunch.

    

Kids TaeKwonDo will be held on Thursday from 3:00-3:45pm in the Blythe Park Gym for all students in K-5th Grade. *Class reservation deadline is Wednesday. You must register by clicking on the Cheddar Up button below to participate.

*PLEASE NOTE – All children must be registered online by clicking on the Cheddar Up button no matter your payment method (cash, check or credit). Payment can be made online or send cash/check to the school office with “Kids Tae Kwon Do” on the envelope and child’s name. (Please make checks payable to Blythe Park PTA.)

Bring out the scientist in your child and be a part of the PTA Science Fair on Thursday, April 27th at 5:45 pm (prior to Open House).

Need to Know Details

• Students will conduct their own science experiment at home OR use the experiment/data they collected during a “Science and a Sandwich” session.
• The student will create a display board at home for the Science Fair.
• Students may work individually or in a group of no more than two students.
• Each student’s display will be setup on a card table in the gym.
• There will be no judging.
• Participation is optional.
• Each student will receive a participation award.

Half-size display boards will be available for purchase in the office from the PTA for $2.00.

Parents and children are welcome to attend Blythe Park’s Spring Open House this Thursday, April 27th.

The evening will start with the Science Fair from 5:45-6:30pm in the gym followed by visiting your child’s classroom anytime between 6:30-7:30 p.m. Don’t miss the 5th Grade Tug of War taking place at 7:15pm outside in the amphitheater, weather permitting.

    

This Friday, April 28th, is a Blythe Park Spirit Day!
