The last Bulldog Student Newspaper Work Session will be this Tuesday, May 2nd from 3:00-3:45pm in the Blythe Park Library.

Any students who would like to work on OR submit their newspaper assignments (photos, articles or illustrations) are welcome to attend. *NOTE: All assignments due Tuesday (except ACES Walk).

Teacher Appreciation Week is Here!

We are still looking for volunteers for the Staff Luncheon on Friday. We know it’s hard to find the time, however we really need your help!

Girls Yoga will take place this Wednesday from 3:00-3:45pm in the Blythe Park Gym for girls in Kindergarten-5th Grade. *Class reservation deadline is Tuesday. You must register by clicking on the Cheddar Up button below to participate.

*PLEASE NOTE – All children must be registered online by clicking on the Cheddar Up button no matter your payment method (cash, check or credit). Payment can be made online or send cash/check to the school office with “Girls Yoga” on the envelope and child’s name. (Please make checks payable to Blythe Park PTA.)

Cardio Kids will be held this week on Wednesday and Friday at 7:45am for 2nd-5th Grade students. Please have your runners/walkers dressed appropriately for the activity and the weather.

Ms. Gorman, Ms. Rehor and Mr. Bartelt will walk/run with the students around the Blythe Park campus. (Four laps around the school equals one mile!) We hope to see many students and parents walking and running with us this spring!

    

Kids TaeKwonDo will be held on Thursday from 3:00-3:45pm in the Blythe Park Gym for all students in K-5th Grade. *Class reservation deadline is Wednesday. You must register by clicking on the Cheddar Up button below to participate.

Ask your student(s) if they enjoyed last week’s in-class science experiments by “HighTouch HighTech”, sponsored by the PTA!

HighTouch HighTech scientists brought fun science experiments right to the classroom. Hands-on science experiments allowed students to make direct observations, manipulate materials and equipment, and develop an understanding of how science applies to daily life.

Last week, each classroom experimented with the following topics:
Kindergarten – Let’s Make Sense (the five senses)
1st Grade – Dig It (rocks)
2nd Grade – Smart Plants
3rd Grade – Sounds Like Fun (sound experiments)
4th Grade – Newton in a Nutshell (physics)
5th Grade – Globs Goo and Guts (organs and how they work)

    

The PTA Science Fair and “Science and a Sandwich” sessions were both a great success this year!

Congratulations to all the young scientists who participated in the Science Fair and “Science and a Sandwich” sessions.

Special thanks to parents for helping students with their science projects and to our parent guest speakers who demonstrated science experiments to the students during their lunch hour. These programs would not be a success without your help!
