Kids Yoga and Kids TaeKwonDo classes start this week. Register for Session 1 by Tuesday, September 12th. 

*NO single class passes will be available this year. You must register for the entire session.

Kids Yoga
Stephanie Roldan from Blissful Owl bring KIDS Yoga back to Blythe Park. Classes will be held every Wednesday from 3:00-3:45pm in the Blythe Park Gym for boys and girls in Kindergarten – 5th Grade.

*NOTE: NO single class passes will be available this year. You must sign up for the entire session. (Also, no prorating, no make-up days unless the instructor needs to reschedule, no refunds.)

Kids TaeKwonDo
Vinson Villena, owner of Flying V Athletic Center, is bringing TaeKwonDo back to Blythe Park. Classes will be held every Thursday from 3:00-3:45pm in the Blythe Park Gym for all students in Kindergarten – 5th Grade.

Uniform (Dobuk) is optional. Purchase information will be handed out during class.

The last day to order Blythe Park Spirit Wear is THIS Friday, September 15th!

If you’re new to Blythe Park School or have not purchased spirit wear in the past, please consider taking a look and making a purchase for either yourself or your student…. shirts/sweats/hoodies/water bottles in school colors with Blythe Park logos.

Spirit wear makes great gifts so please share ordering information with your family and friends who may be looking for gift ideas for your children.

Orders are due by Friday, September 15th.

Fall Parent Night is this Thursday, September 14th beginning in the auditorium with a presentation by Principal Casimira Gorman. After her presentation, parents will head to their child’s classroom for a presentation by their teacher.

Fall Parent Night (each session starts in Blythe auditorium) –
Early Childhood: 5:45pm – 7:15pm
Kindergarten – 5th Grade: 6:30pm – 8:00pm

*Please note, this is an evening for parents only.

    

The PTA is looking for additional parent volunteers to help serve during Hot Lunch.

Hot Lunch is a special meal organized by the PTA and served by parent volunteers one Friday a month.

Many parents enjoy this opportunity and serving lunch is an easy way to give something back to the school and to be a part of your child’s school experience. *You do not have to commit to the entire schedule, volunteer for as many or as few lunches as you are available.

Following is this year’s schedule, please check your availability and consider volunteering!

The PTA is looking for Chairs for the following Fall fundraisers:

Fall Plant Sale Chair –
Duties: Arrange with Clover’s Garden Center (located in parking lot near Tony’s grocery store) to donate a percentage of sales from Blythe families on scheduled days to the PTA. Date: TBD

Family Movie Night Chair –
Duties: Choose/acquire movie (with PTA Board approval). Plan/purchase/sell snacks at sale table during the movie. Request cash box from treasurer before the event. Return cash to treasurer with deposit slip. Date: TBD

Blythe Park parents, directed by Mary Smith, will perform a short play for the students during their Halloween celebration. The students love seeing their parents onstage and look forward to the play every year!
