The Blythe Park Student Council is sponsoring a schoolwide collection for Operation Support Our Troops–America. The collection will run from now until November 27th.

Blythe Park will be celebrating Veterans Day with a special music program this Friday, November 10th at 10:00am in the auditorium.

As part of the program each year, Blythe Park invites Veterans to be our special guests. If you know a Veteran, please invite them to attend. Click on the following flyer for more information: Blythe Park Veterans Day Invitation 2017

*Also, remember to have your children dress patriotically in red, white and/or blue clothing.

Yoga
Stephanie Roldan from Blissful Owl will hold classes every Wednesday from 3:00-3:45pm in the Blythe Park Gym for boys and girls in Kindergarten – 5th Grade.

*NOTE: NO single class passes will be available this year. You must sign up for the entire session. (Also, no prorating, no make-up days unless the instructor needs to reschedule, no refunds.)

TaeKwonDo
Vinson Villena, owner of Flying V Athletic Center, will hold TaeKwonDo classes every Thursday from 3:00-3:45pm in the Blythe Park Gym for all students in Kindergarten – 5th Grade.

Uniform (Dobuk) is optional. Purchase information will be handed out during class.

Volunteer help needed for the Scholastic Book Fair next week!

To make the book fair a success, we are looking for volunteers to help out on November 15th, 16th and 20th for the following:

• Set-up
• Wish List Helpers (help students fill out book wish lists)
• Book Fair Workers (workers will assist Katie Ford or Michelle Backus with book sales)
• Clean-up

Treat your kid(s) to a hot lunch and treat yourself to a day off from packing lunches!

Hot Lunch is next Friday, November 17th. The menu will include: a slice of cheese pizza, seasonal fruit, a treat and a drink. The cost per child is $5.00. (You can pay for the remainder of the year or single lunches.)

If paying by cash or check (payable to Blythe Park PTA) please place payment in an envelope marked with your family name and “Hot Lunch” and bring to the school office.
