Every year the PTA makes a handmade ornament for each Blythe Park student and staff member. If you’d like to volunteer to help assemble this year’s ornaments, our second Ornament Workshop takes place tomorrow in the Blythe Park Library at 6:30pm.
Supplies, instructions and a light snack will be provided by the PTA. Bring your holiday cheer!

Hot Lunch is this Friday, December 15th. The menu will include: a slice of cheese pizza, seasonal fruit, a treat and a drink. The cost per child is $5.00. (You can pay for the remainder of the year or single lunches.)

Artsonia takes artwork created in your student’s art class and reproduces it onto products such as magnets, tiles, note cards, mugs, and many other items. This is a great way for you to share your child’s artwork with family and friends AND benefit Blythe Park’s Art Program!

Blythe Park’s Holiday Music Performance for students in Kindergarten-5th Grade
WHEN: Monday, December 18th at 6:30pm. *Students report to their classrooms by 6:15pm

Blythe students have earned another All School Celebration!
On Wednesday, December 20th, students can dress in clothes from their favorite decade (for example: poodle skirts from the 50’s, punk rock gear from the 80’s, etc.).

The Early Learner Holiday Celebration will take place on Wednesday, December 20th.
Morning classes: 10:00 -11:00 am
Afternoon classes: 1:45 – 2:45 pm
Early Learners and their parents are invited to take part in holiday gingerbread-themed stations. Parents will also be entertained by students with a festive song.

Log your recreational reading hours and participate in the Six Flags “Read to Succeed” Program to receive one free admission ticket to a participating Six Flags Theme Park this summer.
Every Blythe Park student who completes six hours of recreational reading and submits a signed reading log by FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 9th will receive one free admission ticket to a participating Six Flags Theme Park this summer.
K-5th Grade STUDENTS: Read for fun for a total of 6 hours, log your time and have your parent/guardian sign the reading log.
PARENTS/GUARDIANS: Print the reading log listed below and help track your child’s reading. Then sign the form and send it back to school or email to the School Coordinator, Michelle Ruska at mbulir@aol.com
